For me is wrestling not necessarily for the TD but more for the TDD.

I think everyone will agree with wrestling, especially now-a-days.

People like Joe Rogan keep saying that the future of UFC will be fighters that train mma (to be simple) from a young age and that will make up for disadvantages many fighters have now. However, I would still much rather be an elite college wrestler then switch over. It doesn't matter how much you train your TDD, when your that good at wrestling, it is only a matter of time before they get you down. It is such a strong base.  If any of that makes sense.

I practice BJJ, love it and love the guys who are high level jiu jitsu guys in MMA, but the answer to this is almost always wrestling.

You just have to look at how many collegiate wrestlers are in the UFC to know the answer.  ****, look at how many are in the top ten in each division.  Guaranteed at least one in every division.

I think a major advantage these guys have is the luxury of having time to learn all the other aspects of MMA.  In the beginning, they can practically get by on just wrestling.

Wrestling, or at least some solid takedown defense.  Which ultimately falls under the category of wrestling... So.. Wrestling..

I saw a fight of his from way back and he was talking about using thugjitsu to exploit an opponents weaknesses. He was talking about it like it was a real discipline, and goldie and them had no idea. I loled.

Wrestling, Judo or anything other that gives you great base for TDD.
