I'm pumped for tomorrow. Just found out that AMC released 6 webisodes on Oct. 6 that provide some info on events right when the world ended. About to watch them.

For a cable TV series, I think it's the best out there right now, or at least the one that appeals to me most, but I can't help but wonder how much more epic it could be on HBO.

Yep, I know, it's obvious. Anyone else into zombie books? World War Z by Max Brooks is my personal favorite, with the Day By Day Armageddon series by J.L. Bourne a close second.

Haven't read World War Z, but heard good things about it. I've only read The Zombie Survival Guide.

I held off on The Walking Dead up until the beginning of this summer. I gotta say, the first two episodes were amazing. Exactly what I would expect, survival. But it seemed as the show moved along, it lost itself and got caught up in the drama around the cast more than it did in the fact that they are in a zombie apocalypse.
But regardless, I watched until the end and still enjoyed it, and will continue to watch the second season...especially since Breaking Bad is over. I just hope it is more zombies/survival and less Days of Our Lives

@Captain, I completely agree. The first episode was the only one that was directed by Frank Darabont and I think it showed.

I'm a little disappointed that the World War Z movie currently in production is being produced on a PG-13 rating. All the studios are staying away from R ratings to try to maximize profits. It makes sense, but come on, it's a ****** zombie movie. That's the only reason I think Walking Dead could have more potential on a premium cable channel, even if it had the same creative team as AMC. I just wish they didn't have to censor language, nudity, or gore, although they have been getting away with a lot more than I thought they could in that last department.
