The OG's of Tapology

For anybody who was a site member before this forum was posted Tapology's $1,000 UFC 125 Prediction Contest is considered an original site member, anybody after the forum post is a (I hate this word so much) "noobie". This is why, most of the original hardcore site members just stumbled onto the site because of other people or a link on an MMA site. But now were gonna get the posers people who are in & out of the site just for the $ 1000. We can get awesome new members or pricks. People that are just in it for the money and leave and never come back. Some of these people will just be little ******s and never contribute to the forums or talk man **** on the site. It might get ugly.

This site is brand new so it makes sense that a lot of people haven't found it yet.  The more people that use it means the more time we can spend adding new features.

Well, it comes with the territory of establishing a niche community anywhere online in today's world. There are undoubtedly going to be a fair amount of users who just come for the contest and then leave, and there will be new and annoying users, but there will be tons of great users who never would have given the site a chance if it weren't for the allure of the contest.

Be honest with yourself; how many lame MMA sites and hack-jobs are there out there? Thousands? I don't blame people for not giving the site a chance at first glance, but just like the OG's, as you call them, have become addicted to what will be the best MMA community in the world, new and respectable users will arrive.

Even if you feel that your actions on the site will get lost amidst the rush of a constantly growing main feed, that is part of the reason that we've put in following functionality as well as direct commenting on profiles and the like. If you want to withdraw occasionally into your own little niche group within the expanding Tapology community, you can do that without isolating yourself. Personally, I only follow users I am interested in hearing from anyways.

Maybe so, but if you help show em' the ropes pretty soon they'll start to see the sick a$$ stuff you can do on here.  Who even knows what this site is yet?  We are all noobies in it together . . .

Man Just look at Sherdog, they must have thousands of counts trolling and making the site a nightmare. But to tell you the truth I hope we get a cool batch of members.

I've always liked and still use Sherdog.  For all the insanity of the heavyweights forum, there's a lot of really smart people on there.

But we also wanted stuff like fight-picking and build-your-own-rankings so we thought Tapology would be a good idea.

Baseball sucks, especially in the context of an MMA network.

yeah i thought so.

Jets are pretty good this year.... but I digress.

I'd rather be an MLS fan than a Red Sox fan. :O

Mind you, I don't see much difference between soccer and American (Bush) League baseball.

As in, both sports suck to watch? Because if that's what you mean, I totally agree.

I'll watch playoff baseball and world cup soccer. Otherwise doesn't draw me in.  Nothing really beats a good night of fights.

I didn't think there'd every be anything involving money with this website.... props to you guys! I could care less, i'm here to make fight predictions and post my opinions in the forum! The only other site i follow is mmajunkie.

Ya gregory ur rite there i guess im a original member i was on before this post jaffacakehero showed me this site if any of ye know him ! this is the best mma site out there i love the way u can pick & ******* love the belt system etc this is just an excellent site!
