Dana just posted this on his twitter! not sure why rashad got skipped but I think dana said he had pins in his hand

i like watching lyoto fight but unfortunately for him i expect this to be a shellacking.  hanging back on the outside and throwing strikes against jon jones doesn't seem like the way to go.

10.5 inch reach advantage will be alot less with Machida's kicks.

I'm very excited. Jones will possess such a challenge it'll force Machida to use all of his tools that are overlooked, or he could possibly lose in devastating fashion. It really depends on how this fight plays out stylistically.
This fight is one of the most intriguing match ups in my honest opinion because of both styles. I can't wait to talk about this more when the fight is closer to date.

I know Machida run into a bit of bad luck recently (or better oponents) but he is still an exciting opponent for Jones. I'm actually more hyped for that fight than Page vs Jones and I'm a Page fan (while I'm indifferent to Machida).

Though 'Shad should stop japping about Jones ducking him and finally decide not to get injured. He was injured so he already missed 2 title shots, it's the 3rd time now. Bones may have chicken legs but Rashad got chicken bones ;)

Stylistically I think Lyoto has a better chance in this fight than most of the other LHW's out there.  Jon Jones won't be nearly as successful with his striking as he has been in the past, because Machida is such a seasoned counter fighter.  This probably won't be the most exciting fight the UFC has ever seen, but I think it will be an intriguing chess match between two very talented and unique strikers.  I can't wait to see how the formula translates into the cage between these two, because there are so many variables.

Lyoto is going to destroy Jones worse than Rashad did. If Matt Hammil can beat him, I am sure Machida can. We all know Jones is a cheater, it isn't really any mystery. He cheated in the Shogun fight (And I am happy he beat Shogun) but let's face facts here, Machida is going to dominate Jones almost as bad as Sonnen is going to beat Stann.

??  Rashad didn't beat him, and neither did Hamill.  Hamill got a victory handed to him by disqualification, and he was losing that fight the whole way through.  Also, how did Jones cheat in his bout against Shogun?  Down arrow!

Wow @K1 so many things wrong with that post... Lyoto will destroy jones worse then rashad did?  News flash rashad and jones have not fought. And if you think Matt Hammil beat Jones you must not watch MMA very often.

And how exactly did he cheat against shogun???

Those knees weren't illegal.  Show me the training footage where Rashad "beats" Jones?

@Poir You must not have heard Joe Rogan: Those headbutts to the stomach of shogun are illegal, he knows you can't street this like a gang riot and just do what you want this is MMA, and if Jones isn't a cheater why did he get disqualified against The Hammer?

I don't recall anything about a headbutt to the stomach, and jones got DQ'd against Hammil because the ref was an idiot. Hammil himself said Jones won that fight

can anyone take a second out of the Jones/Hamill fight and make it the blueprint on how to beat Jones?

I dunno, I'm looking forward to this one, can Machida solve the puzzle? Probably not, but it will be an exciting few rounds and hopefully someone gets bruttaly KO'd. I'd rather see Bones fight again, then wait another 6 months or so for Rashad to be healthy, at least he is taking fights instead of just waiting.
