This is pretty cool. But at the same time might screw an epic preliminary card fight out of the bonus, since most fans voting won't have seen it. Wonder if they've thought of that.

Personally I felt that Riddle vs Pierson was more deserving of the fight of the night honors. GSP vs Kos won strictly off popularity.

Yeah this definitely didn't work that well. Maybe they could have done it where the fans can vote for some award/bonus other than FOTN.

I don't know why Dana did this. There were guys that needed that bonus waaaaay more than GSP or Koscheck. I actually liked the Audinwood - Makdessi fight better than Riddle - Pierson. Way more technical and impressive IMO. Makdessi landed a frickin' axe kick!

I'll need to check out Audinwood/Makdessi.

Riddle/Pierson was sooo sloppy...

But can't deny how much heart each guy put into it. They left it all out there and gave a cool fight.

riddle fight was ridiculous he was throwing 20 or 30 punches at a time without connecting in the third. he looked like a little kid having a temper tantrum

I saw Audinwood/Makdessi and let me tell you Makdessi is a bad ************. Makdessi makes Riddle's stand up look like garbage. Not only should Audinwood/Makdessi have won FOTN but keep an eye on John M akdessi I have man respect for this guy.

Dana didn't agree with the fans pick for fight of the night. He said he wouldn't allow the fans to pick again. I believe he also said He will take care of Riddle & Pierson which was his choice for fight of the night.

Rumors are that as long as you put on a good fight and don't frustrate the UFC, that pretty much every fighter gets additional locker room bonuses that are never publicly disclosed. I wonder what Riddle/Pierson got.

Interesting concept by Dana, i don't think he'll do it again. How can all fans truely decide on the FON when people like myself never got to see the Makdessi fight because of the PPV??
