@brad he ducked out of a title fight!!

he ducks every fight that anyone really cares to see examples (miller, GSP, Heiron, T wood)

they guy doesn't deserve a championship fight

but like i said it really does not matter because B.J been ia just a better version of Diaz

you are just on the hype train

i bet you also think Gil Melendez is a top 5 LW huh??

BJ will beat Diaz. Dana won't have to worry about whether or not to give Diaz a title fight. Diaz doesn't deserve a title fight after what he pulled.

Diaz isn't going to beat Penn, or any of the top 10 fighters in the UFC, for that matter.

Am i the only person who thinks he will lose to BJ Penn, but who wants to see him fight GSP anyways?
Nick Diaz is probably not a top 5 WW, but he would match up so well with GSP, and we need a guy without any glaring weaknesess.

@ buffalo  - I disagree, I don't think Nick would match up well with GSP at all. There's a reason why Strikeforce would never let him fight a wrestler, too much of a bad matchup for him.  I personally thought GSP would finish him within the first 3 rounds.

the penn fans are blinded to his weak mental game, his lack of motivation and his cardio problems in the third round where diaz will corner him and tko him and then face the winner of gsp/condit. DW might have planned this all along. did a light bulb just go off in DW's head or did the Fertitta's tell him this is what is going to happen. you can all make the choice. i knew this would happen all along. penn will face a pissed off and extremely motivated diaz which of course means a win for him vs penn on october 29th 2011.

@ wolf, If GSP couldn't TKO Penn in the 3rd, I don't think Diaz will. I haven't looked at the card yet, is this the main-event which would make it 5 rounds?!

@pwilson. i just looked it up. three, five minute rounds. gsp did not tko him  b/c he does not finish fights. Diaz finishes fights.

@ wolf ..... he only has one more decision win then he does TKO. In truth he actually did finish Penn, the end result of their fight was a TKO.

@pwilson .. But that was before he got smoked by Serra. His last 4 fights have been decisions and 5 of his last 6 and that one was a corner stoppage.

@thiago. beating me to the punch on this thread. it was a 4th round corner stoppage which shows his weak mental game. wait till he gets hit by a barrage of diaz strikes. i could see penn tapping to strikes. guaranteed title shot vs the great gsp or the dangerous carlos condit.

@wolf.. You have WAY too much faith in Diaz and not enough in Penn.. Penn has never been dropped and never been close to being stopped by strikes and he has faced better competition than Diaz.

@ wolf, take a look at who he has fought. Aside from Hardy, they were all pretty much the number 2 guy at the time. Diaz on the other hand has really fought nobodies (im a huge whitemare fan too).

penn will be almost an old 33 years old(meaning all the battles his body has taken) when he faces diaz who is at his peak. did you know that penns excuse for losing to edgar was he had a sinus infection. i can name 4 excuses he will have when he losses to diaz. diaz has been in some great battles but then he does crazy triathlons in my neck of the woods in the tahoe area. they guy is in the best shape of his life. i met him once and he is very nice person. he talks to the people(signs autographs)and suggests there sons and daughters to train in mma. if that is not a great ambassador for the sport i don't know what is.
