Yeah I was only thinking of the third round when I said that.  Bit of an over exaggeration.  Heck I don't even think Sanchez is going to win this fight anymore.  Should be competitive though.

im still supporting sanchez but kampmann wont be able to make the mistakes he made against Daley and Shields. that is strike against heavy hitter and grapple with the superior grappler.

This is a great fight and I don't know who to pick. If Kampmann can keep the fight at a slower, more methodical pace, I think he can frustrate Diego and pick him apart. If it turns into a grueling cardio contest, Diego will wear down Kampmann just like he did to Paulo Thiago.

Sanchez Decision

Prediction: correct Sanchez   correct Decision

One of my top 3 fighters. Sanchez takes it with unrelenting ground and pound! Fingers crossed he finally shows striking to hang with the top guys. Would be interesting to see Sanchez beat Kampman on his feet - who IMO (despite his kickboxing pedigree) hasn't looked amazing on his feet in many of his fights in the UFC.

Love Diego.....but in the same boat with LynxGuy. Kampmann's striking is at a higher level. First had him with TKO in 2nd, but then remembered that unless Diego has a 5 inch opening on his forehead....it's tough to stop him. Damn he's been in some wars. Love him but got to go with Kampmann.

I got Kampmann, the dude is a legit WW.  He used to fight at 185 and manhandled dudes like Thales Leites.  He will definitely have a size and core strength advantage over Diego, but Diego is a wildman and a hell of a fighter!  This should be a great scrap!

With Diego Sanchez going back to Greg Jackson's, he'll have the perfect game plan to defeat Martin Kampmann.

As long as Kampmann sticks to a sprawl-and-brawl game plan, he should take a fairly one-sided decision here.

Sanchez will come out like a bat out of hell, which is just what Kampmann will be expecting. The Dane will act accordingly and pick Sanchez apart en route to a SD or UD.

Sanchez got beat up by Hathaway, Kampmann should do the same hes more technical on the feet and decent of his back. Wouldnt be surprised to see Sanchez bloody after the fight.
