@Haven,

please shut up, we all know that GSP would kick our ass.

If anybody, I think you'd be the one who ends up beaten the worst.

@haven ... it's not because of Cesar Gracie, Cesar doesn't even know why and says he agrees with Dana's decision

sound like he thinks it was pretty dumb too ...

"There's a lot of hard workers I see that have trouble putting food on the table for their kids," Gracie said. "I've stuck up for Nick a lot, but I can't stick up for him on this one."

@haven, i totally agree and blowing such an oppourtunity is what we're saying is dumb.

he could of just sat at the presser flipping the camera off and mubbling obscenities, at least he'd still be in the fight.

Dana even said he didn't have to answer questions or even speak at all, he just had to turn up ... small price to pay for the biggest payday of you life win or lose

It could be many possibilities.
1) I don't think he's scared at all. I think it's just a lack of care and he hasn't matured yet in that manner. He's been doing media press conferences for his whole career but I'm guessing he's sick of them. Anxiety. Doesn't like talking to people like Cesar mentioned. But when your career is at its pinnacle point and you're fighting a HUGE fight where you'd gain a lot of fans and possibly win the belt. You have to learn to push those aside. It might even be him being careless and think he can get away with missing the press conference.
2) We also can't jump to conclusions straight away because who knows the possibilities. It's all in the air. I won't judge until I see what he has to come up with. I know there's a ton of ways to get a hold of someone via twitter and a simple phone call, but you never know.
3) Other.
I'm hoping it's a legit reason because he's going to let a lot of fans down. I was PUMPED for this fight. No matter if Nick won or GSP.  :(

There is no reason or excuse for Diaz to sneak out Cesar Gracie's back door and disappear. Diaz was going to get dominated and outclassed by Georges and he knew it his team knew it so he literally quit before the fight even started. Diaz had no business fighting GSP in the first place.
