Hunt shouldn't be fighting barely 3 months after that Overeem KO.

Damn, they must really want rid of Hunt. He may spoil their plans though, this is a tough pick.

Here's how I see this fight.

For one, I think Hunt isn't really "into it" these days, I think he's fighting out his contract (which is why he's booked so soon after being slept) and when Hunt isn't engaged he trains lazy (he said so himself numerous times). When he trains lazy, he's a step slower and usually needs to cut harder to make 265 so I'm not expecting the best Mark Hunt to show up. Now, he usually makes up for it with endurance and the fact that all he needs is to land one good punch but I don't think this is a fight he can endure if **** hits the fan (and by "****" I mean a 10 ton brick and by "fan" I mean his face).

Now on the other side, you've got someone who, though less technical, is younger, faster, much more explosive, has a 7" reach advantage over him, all the momentum and confidence on the planet in his corner and has monster power in his hands. Now add to that the fact that Lewis won't be worried about getting taken down and I think that if I were a betting man, at this point in time, I would put a lot of money on Lewis sleeping Hunt within 2 rounds (most likely 1) even though Hunt's got a legendary chin.

Prediction: correct Hunt   correct KO/TKO   wrong Round 1

A couple of years ago this would have been a walk-off KO win for Mark Hunt without question, but now it's a coin flip.

I guess I am still leaning toward Hunt though. He's got that high level striking skill and experience to avoid the kind of less disciplined attacks that Lewis brings.

Lewis isn't going to methodically and expertly calculate his way to KOing Mark Hunt the way Overeem did.

Still, Lewis is a ******' beast and Hunt is clearly getting too old for this ****. Could go either way.

Technically speaking Hunt is the far superior striker and with his power he can put anyone out. Lewis has insane power and has the power in his hands to KO the current Hunt if he can land a solid shot. I'm very torn on this fight.

Hunt is too resiliant and Lewis doesnt have enough weapons to beat Hunt.
