I love this fight, (well, I love basically any fight that Joanna is a part of). Still, I've said it to friends before and I'll say it again: if there's one girl currently in the 115 division that could take Joanna's belt, it's Andrade. I'll probably still pick Joanna, but Andrade should not be overlooked.

@MikeyG I have a feeling that a lot of those 83% are not super confident in the pick. I have a feeling Andrade will test Joanna as much as Claudia did in the first five rounds combined of their two duels (albeit in different aspects).

I doubt it.
Andrade's advantages in this fight are mostly in rounds 1-3. If this thing reaches the championship rounds I believe Andrade starts to fade and Joanna takes over (unless the vast majority of those 3 rounds are spent with Andrade on top of Joanna with her conserving and Joanna wasting energy).

Initially, I thought Jessica Andrade's apparently good cardio, volume, power, and athleticism would allow her to put the champion away. However, looking back at her fight against Angela Hill, Joanne Calderwood, I notice that she is especially vulnerable to elbow strikes, which Joanna could definitely exploit. Furthermore, Angela Hill , who is lesser striker compared to Joanna Jedrzejczyk, was able to give Andrade a lot of trouble with her feints, lateral movements, and distance management.

Still think it's closer than it seems though. It comes down to rounds 1-2 for Andrade, she's probably at an disadvantage on the ground or against the cage. But the 5 round fight will likely save Joanna if she can survive the onslaught of muay thai, takedowns and subs.
