I would suggest just following this twitter account. They post all notable events that are streaming for the weekend (vast majority are free or Fightpass). https://twitter.com/Grabaka_Hitman

Just sayin'..

What do we get for giving you illegal streams exactly? Your passing gratitude? I'm gonna pass.

Facebook and YouTube are not illegal... there are organisations, which stream fights for free on YouTube for example...

It's not illegal to stream a fight. None of them. Ppvs are fair game as long as you're not downloading it. But if you are going to skip paying for the **** cards (which I do myself) then get a solid ad-blocker.

@greg

It is illegal to stream a fight because it is rebroadcasting, but the rules for actually watching the rebroadcasted stream are hazy.

Even so, I am not going to pay WME-IMG a single dime of my money for their PPV's which they charge the customer out the ass for.  Especially when PPV is a dying form of providing content.

Oh, specifically the difference between "download" versus "stream" ??  It seems there is a valid argument there.  However, if I were a streamer and for some bizarre reason I was sued over this, I would not want to try and test my luck on whether the streaming vs downloading argument would successfully hold up.

@Greg

That is not what I mean.  Torrenting content is a whole different can of worms.

I mean there is a difference between the person rebroadcasting a UFC PPV and you watching the rebroadcasted content. It is technically legal (last time I checked) for me to watch rebroadcasted content.  It is not legal for me to rebroadcast it.

As far I understand, if you download (via bittorrent or some other means) it's very clearly illegal.  But that "streaming" where the file is never stored on your computer is arguably not illegal per what @mbach pointed out. And I didn't initially understand he was making a nuanced point.

For Bittorrent where do you see information that this is arguably legal?

I didn't say that.  I said watching the stream is technically legal because you not the one rebroadcasting, hosting or downloading the content.

If you were to find a website which streams the fight, it is 100% legal for you to view the fight. However, if you were to order said fight and broadcast it yourself, that is 100% illegal. Same with movies. Don't download and you're fine.
