Wonderboy will learn from his mistakes, I think he puts him away this time.

Woodley utilities his ground and pound more for this fight, will see similar events to what happened in round 1 of their first encounter.

Thompson will come in with a better knowledge of Woodley's reach and cadence. He'll wear him down into the 4th, then kick him right in the head.

I don't see this one going the distance. Usually after one fight, I have a pretty good idea how the second fight will go. I'm not saying I'm right in the end, but leading up to it, I have an idea in my mind. With this fight, I have no clue how will it go. I think woodley will try to use his wrestling more, but I also think wonderboy will try to be less predictable with his striking. Plus I don't know if woodley's strategy of putting himself on the cage to close distance will work this time.

Don't take my pick too seriously. I just made a guess it was between that or every other possible scenario outside of Thompson by sub.

I didn't mind Woodley before he was champ, but now I hope he loses just so we can stop hearing him whine about how no one likes him.

My head says Wonderboy but my gut says Woodley.

Even more intriguing style match-up now than it was the first time around, since each will have to adjust to the other.

My wallet says Woodley, so I'm picking him to win in a convincing fashion and close the book on the karate kid.
No chokes this time round, just lightning fast power shots. Should be a great card, looking forward to this one.

A crazy thought just popped in my head that I thought I would share. If Wonderboy wins (which is nowhere near a given), can anyone else see the UFC skipping Maia and giving the shot to Robbie instead? I mean that wouldn't be as egregious as say giving a ww who hasn't fought in nearly four years a mw title shot over a long list of deserving contenders. Robbie did defend his belt multiple times. Not saying I agree with it, but an argument could be made to give Robbie first crack at wonderboy (or a rematch against Tyron, although less likely).

I don't there a chance of that happening at all. First Robbie is not a very good seller. Second Robbie lost his fight to Carlos Condit and was gifted the win. He also had  a controversial wins over hendricks to win the title in the first place, so his reign was far from dominant. I just don't think there a case to be made for robbie getting the first shot, especially given how bad of a seller he is despite having fun fights. Also GSP situation is much different. GSP is consider by many to be the greatest fighter ever, so there much more of a case to be made for giving him the middle weight shot, since as the potential greatest of all time, he deserves to choose his comeback fight.

@franklin

Robbie wasn't a huge draw, but who really is? Ronda, Conor, Brock, and cm punk. Obviously with GSP coming back, they have another legit superstar as a draw. You and I know that the Robbie decisions were razor close, but he still won three title fights. Even if you disagreed with the decisions (thought he lost both too). It's not as if Maia is a huge draw either. It was just a thought. I believe a case could be made for the next ww title shot to be given to Robbie.

Now on to the GSP thing. I have been saying it since GSP first hinted at a comeback. He's the one fighter that jumps to the front of the line for a title shot. A ww title shot! He's never fought at mw and hasn't fought in almost 4 years.  If the UFC were to give him the winner of wonderboy/woodley, I'm on board. Just not with this. Should be Romero fighting Bisping, and then the next title shot goes to rockhold/jacare winner (if that fight happens).
