I cannot really see them matching him up with anybody other than Lesnar, its already been said Carwin isn't fighting until 2012, even though I think Carwin/Overeem would be absolute ratings gold for primetime on Fox.

Carwin/Overeem would be amazing. Great fight for Reem too. I think he'd be able to pick Shane apart kinda like JDS did, but Carwin's always got that 1 shot KO power. He just needs to sign so we can see for sure where he stands.

He will lose to Lesnar, Cain , Mir and I dont know about JDS. He would probably beat the rest.. Barry vs Overeem would be epic and if it stayed standing I think Barry would knock Overeem out.

I tend to disagree I think Overeem would KO Lesnar and Mir, would probably lose via decision to JDS, and who knows what would happen if he fought Cain and Carwin, everyone else in the HW division he would win minus a crazy Mike Russow upset special.

No way would he beat Mir im sorry.. Mir would kill him. And Lesnar would take him down and beat him up.. I think it would be a war vs JDS and he would lose badly to Cain and probably beat Carwin.

IMO Oveereem stands no chance against any of the to 4 or 5 inf the ufc first fight shlound be someone like kongo or barry (both in the top 10 IMO) just so everyone knows where he stands against some of the best in the world

@thiago i am a big mir fan and i think overeem would beat him. Mir doesnt like getting hit and overeems bjj is good enough to compete with mir.

@piercer i agree with most of what u said..i love mir..mir is awesome..mir would get ktfo'd by overeem...
mir doesnt do well against hard punchers who are HUGE, see lesnar and carwin...

Cain and JDS will give Overeem the best fight. Lesnar and Mir cant take a punch and Overeem hits HARD. I think Overeem is bigger than Carwin and Lesnar, all the stats Ive seen on him put him at 6'5" 260lbs. Lesnar has a weight advantage but thats it.

I think people still assume that Ubereem is an elite striker... IMO he is not at all. If he was not on roids and weighed 205 and still had his old speed and explosion with his strikes then MAYBE he would still be there. I am just not impressed with his fight finder post 2007. Absolute garbage. The last good striker he fought (not including Cro-Cop, who was just freshly destroyed in the UFC by Gonzaga and Kongo) was Kharitonov in K-1 back in 2007 and got KO'd in the first round. Since then he has fought garbage: Buentello, Mark Hunt, Brett Rogers, Todd Duffee, ect... REALLY? Then he gets a big fight with Werdum and looked like a fat out of shape, overhyped idiot. I HONESTLY thought that if Werdum chose to trade with him more in the 3rd round he could have hurt or finished him. After that garbage display he pulls out of the Strikeforce HW Tourny with a couple of lame ass excuses. I am not impressed. I really hope Ubereem comes to the UFC so we can see what he's really got...beach muscles.
