The gameplan here for both fighters is obvious. Khabib wants to take the fight to the ground, Johnson wants to keep it standing. If Johnson can somehow keep the fight on the feet, it's a certainty that he'll outstrike Khabib, maybe even knock him out. Khabib has never not been able to take the fight to the ground or clinch against the cage the entire fight, though.

He was only forced to clinch against Gleison Tibau, who was known first and foremost for being absolutely gigantic for his weight class. I don't see him having the same issue against Johnson.

I know many people believe in Kabib...he is soo HUGE in Europe its unreal... this is a good opening fight to the American audience in general .... Many have heard of him or seen him sparingly  and havnt gotten the full picture on this young man. Extremely talented its going to be good to see them interject him into our market finally. 


And doing so through this guy Johnson is a perfect scenario.. I dont see it going long.. Johnson earlier in career had promise.. but Nate Diaz not 4 fights ago on Fight Night just absolutely exposed this guy.. He must be a real fighter to come back from that..but man what he took that night was a true embarrassment and ass whoopin.. I cant stand to hear this guy talk about how good he is..when he's obviously not... he and Tyron Woodley I swear... 


I give this fight early 3rd round and Kabib will pull the pin on this guy..he is JUST too much for him.. He will wear him down and get him off track and slip a rear naked choke in somewhere...Question being who does he fight next?  I suppose some of that remains in Conors corner should he beat Alvarez right?

The lineup for this show isn't set. I've used my best guess as to the placement of bouts regarding main card and prelims, but not the actual order. I've also been hearing it may be a 6-bout main card.

Actually, Edgar/Stephens is heading the prelims. But that goes to show you how stacked this card is. This fight could easily head a FS1 card, if not a Fox card.
