Ledet vs. Sherman

Heavyweight prospects? You don't say.

I agree with the odds, but it seems like most others don't.

What actually happened in Sherman-May? I haven't seen it, but May's a decent enough opponent for me to consider Sherman beating him a big deal, but if it was a freak injury, that changes things.

Yeah Sherman technically beat Jack May but it was a freak injury. May messed his knee up and the fight was stopped so it goes down as a Tko injury win for Sherman. Now his opponent Ledet actually Headlined an AXS Tv fight against Brice Ritani-Coe who was 4-3 at the time and that was a NC due to Ledet gauging Ritani-Coe in the eye and the fight was stopped. So those 2 signings were kinda odd considering the circumstances. But the HW Division needs fighters and Ledet does have a pretty decent game. He's athletic, good cardio, a good boxer, especially his jab which was his major key to getting the victory last night.

Also the Jason Novelli signing was rather odd too. The UFC has no shortage of Lightweights and Novelli got signed after fighting to a Majority Draw in his last Titan Fight against Cedeno who was cut by the UFC.

So 3 somewhat odd signings. But of the 3 Ledet is probably the best signing of the bunch. I don't expect big things from any of the 3 but with some improvements to Ledet's game I could see him handing around. I doubt he'll be a contender but he is decent enough to be a part of the UFC's very thin HW Division. I could also see him potentially going to LHW. He only weighed in 230lbs+. He would make for a decent LHW after a few trys at HW.
