Just wondering if you guys saw these few headlines.  I didn't see anything posted on it, so I thought I'd bring them up.

  • Rashad injury is actually severe.
  • Mayhem arrested for putting his sister in a headlock.
  • Gus Johnson may be a part of the UFC on FOX Shows.

Well maybe Hendo can slide into Rashad's spot and keep the LHW division moving...Wonder if Miller's sister was drunk and thats why...Great I'm happy we still have Gus Johnson around! (last one might be sarcasm!)

I have the same sentiments in each topic.  This is Hendo's chance.  I have never heard of a sprain that needed "pins surgically inserted to hold a thumb in place".  Also, I was thinking maybe Mayhem thought she was too drunk to drive.. only reason I can think of for restraining his sister.  Please... no Gus...lol.

Gus Johnson? Really? This is the absolute best guy you can come up with for the job?

I agree, this is Hendo's chance whether Jones keeps the belt or Rampage actually finds a way to take it from him.

I will be so pissed if Rashad doesnt get the title shot, he is one of the best guys in my fantasy team and he really deserves the shot.  Hendo does deserve a shot too but I think he should have to have a fight in the UFC before getting a title shot.  And its crazy Mayhem got arrested for that, seems to me like he was trying to keep his sister from driving drunk, he should have just got her in the rear naked and put her to sleep, just joking

Rashad still has plenty of time to heal and fight for the title. It's way to early to say he's going to miss anything. Nobody deserves the title shot more then Rashad. I think he'll be ready to go. I hope Machida and Hendo fight.

I would love to see Hendo knock Machida clean out. The only question is if Machida's wife would let him. (pictured left)

I'd like to see Henderson get an instant title shot. He doesn't exactly have a ton of fights left and his wins over Fedor, Cavalcante and Babalu should be enough to prove he's a top guy. I also think he matches up with Bones really well.

@mino so wins over Fedor, Cavalcante and Babalu are more impressive then wins over Rampage, Thiago Silva and Tito Ortiz? Hendo should a win a fight at 205 in the UFC before he earns a shot.

well clearly Rashad is in line first... he already earned the title shot and had his title fight scheduled against shogun.

after that, you could make the argument for Hendo.  marketability is important, too, and Hendo is a real fan favorite.  however if Rashad vs Rampage/Jones doesn't happen until a few months from now, I'd say that Hendo might as well get another fight.  Hendo vs Machida would be pretty interesting.

I also think Hendo should have at least 1 fight before a title shot. Shogun/Forrest winner sounds good.

I said Henderson should get an instant title shot because Rashad is injured.

And I do think knockouts of Fedor, Cavalcante and Babalu are more impressive than decisions over Rampage, Silva and Ortiz, but that's a discussion for another time.

They could also market a title unification bout if he doesn't have a fight before the title shot.

Im happy to see Hendo fight anyone, and nobody is really sure how bad Rashads injury is he might he better in a few months and the champ after the Rampage/Jones fight might need a lot of time off, either way Rashad should get the title shot after he gets better, he doesnt need to fight another contender

I guess this is really going to come down to how bad is Rashad's hand.  His team played it off as a sprain, but it seems like a little more than that.  I hope he is ready to go, b/c you guys are right.. he definately deserves it first.
