First off I wanted to say hey to my fellow tapologists, its been a while since I've posted, been busy getting out of the military and transitioning to civilian life and school and what not. Here are some of my random thought from tonight's great night of scraps.
1. Jared Hamman looked VERY impressive tonight, if anybody didn't really know about him before, he has arrived, in his natural weight class, and under the tutelage of Antoni Hardonk and Vlad the Janitor. I think a fight with Ed Herman may be what's next for him who also looked great against Noke.
2. Bruce Leroy does not belong in the UFC unfortunately.
3. Ronny Markes looked great tonight, effectively derailing the Karlos Vemola hype train, I think this guy can hang with a top 10-15 LHW, maybe a guy like Alexander Gustafson may be next for him.
4. Ben Henderson vs Jim Miller was the real fight of the night, props to Miller for hanging in there after getting smashed for 3 rounds. I am not sure where Henderson stands in the thick of this stacked lightweight division, but he just put everybody on notice. I think a title eliminator with Clay Guida would be a barnburner.
5. I am starting to think that Cowboy Cerrone is a legit contender at 155.
6. Last but not least, Chris Lytle man, I am going to miss his fights. He always went out there and gave the fans great fights, I am glad to see him go out with a victory, classy dude all the way.

AMEN!

Hamman looked great. Also, very good call on Ludwig too, I didn't expect that either.

Agree with you on Bruce Leroy, I really like his personality and character, but the skills just aren't there, he's only 23 so I hope he can improve some more.

That Czech national wrestling title must not mean much, considering their 6 time champ got thoroughly outwrestled by a jiu-jitsu guy.

On top of all that though, honestly I wish Cowboy could/would make the cut the 145, I think he could be the one to dethrone Jose Aldo if he did.

Cerrone is already REALLY lanky at 155! At 145 I think he'd be a living skeleton!

hey man if Kenflo can go from a MW to a FW. In my crazy imagination I would love to see that fight. He would probably look like Oliveira does at 155.

Haha I thought of KenFlo as soon as I posted that! You might be right, maybe Cerrone could cut another 10 pounds!

and I am not one of those guys who think cutting to the next lower weight class is always the solution for anything but shoot, 155 is absolutely stacked and I think stylistically he would give Aldo some trouble.

That's true, Cerrone is really good, but in the most stacked division in the UFC, he'll end up how Lytle was. Always entertaining but never champion. =/

Definitely a fun card and tough to call all-around.

I went 10 for 11 with UFC 133 picks, and a dismal 6-for-12 at UFC on Versus 5. I lost my step completely =)

Great card, crappy picks for me. It was really good to see Cerrone and Henderson win their fights.

I agree with @Wolf... Don't underestimate Cowboy!  I don't think he could make the cut to 145lbs though.

After Cowboy won the way he did and hearing the crowd.. you could almost here Mask yelling "Cowboy, Cowboy, Cowboy".  People forget that Mask and the Tapout Crew found Cowboy, featured him on their show that was on VS and sponsored him.
