Arlovski in legit title contention. so good.

He probably will fight Stipe though.

yeah, no doubt it'll be stipe - arlovski title eliminator.

Especially since Cain will probably fight again till 2016. UFC can squeeze another fight in the meantime.

Sampo would be the only one I'd cut.

Pyle, Burkman, and Vitor should all retire although Pyle/Burkman would be entertaining. I can see several fights involving Vitor being entertaining but almost all of them would only benefit the opponent. IF he insists on fighting again, I'd like to see him vs. Nick Diaz although if either Machida or Romero gets injured he could step in and that fight would be just as entertaining.

Weidman/Rockhold and Cowboy/Dos Anjos rematch are no-brainers but I'm not sure about DC/Bader. I think Rashad might be the best opponent for drawing purposes. I'm assuming Jones won't be able to return for a while still if ever.

HW matchmaking needs it's own thread at this point. Sooooo many good matchups to be made.

Seems to me Moraga/Makovsky just makes a lot of sense.

Love the idea of the Hall/Philippou grudge match finally getting made.

Makdessi deserves a long break. Who was the LW (I think) from several years ago who suffered several broken jaws? Don't want to see Makdessi bring back that trend.  Oh yeah, Aaron Riley

DC/Bader
AJ/Manuwa

Weidman/Souza (I know the popular pick here is Rockhold, but Souza is old, I wanna see him get his shot sooner rather than later.)
Belfort/Rockhold (Please do this. Let Rockhold avenge this loss and then give him a shot at the title after Weidman/Souza.)

Cerrone/RDA
Makdessi/Loser of Dober/Escudero

I hope Hall not end up like Randleman post-2003.

Hall doesn't have what it takes upstairs to make it.

He showed in the Santos fight that heart isn't his problem. He's just got a low fight IQ and no feel for a fight. He thinks about the move he wants to do and then waits until he can do it and doesn't do anything else until he's "cleared space" in his mind for the next move.

Amazing physical potential, just not a fighter. His physical supremacy will win him quite a few, but he'll also lose to guys he's not supposed to more times than you'd want and never beat anyone who's top-notch.

Also, he's a bit too old to be a "developing promising prospect". If you're not at a certain level, beating a certain level of guys at 30 you're probably in for a journeyman career at best.

So you're telling me Tim Kennedy can find a way to knock out Natal in the first, but Uriah Hall can't manage to? This guy has to be one of, if not the biggest letdown ever.

Obviously, he won't get the shot, and he shouldn't, but I think Gustafsson would wreck DC. DC will not hold the belt for long.

He is a lot like Randleman: Tons of potential but never follows through in the important moments.

Not like Randleman in the fact he actually submits his own piss for drug tests.

@yossi I agree on the sentiment of Hall, but from my point of view it seems that he is never in any real position to chain his attacks together, thus he is only left with pot shotting flashy strikes, and since his boxing and infighting and wrestling and grappling are nowhere up to par with his long distance striking he is constantly put out of position against lesser competition and they tire him because of this. It seems in his fight against Natal, he was just befuddled by the fact Natal wouldn't stand in front of him and had no real idea on how properly deal with that. The other issue I see in Hall, is there isn't much transition to his game, he's only doing one thing at a time and if it isn't flashy distance striking then usually that one thing isn't that good. Also backing himself up into the cage doesn't help either.

His piss test has nothing to do with him living up to his potential.

It does if the person is implying his potential was due to roids, which a strong argument could be made for.
