Seeing  how Wrestling is one of the most popular bases in MMA, i thought that it would be goof if i started a thread that  would allow for people to understand and follow the storylines and techniques at the highest level collegiate and international level competition.  I will create a Ranking system and give scouting reports of the top 10 guys at each weight class and provide updated weekly rankings every Monday. The first event i'm covering is NWCA National dual finals between Iowa and Missouri.

Here's the bracket busters and here's potential busts and seeding blunders and potential matches to watch for.  champion prediction as well. Going by weight class order.
125 bracket busters:  Jordan Conaway, Zeke Moisey, and Jesse Delgado. Potential Busts: Tyler Cox, Sean Boyle. Seeding Blunders: 2x national champ Jesse Delgado unseeded, 2013  Tyler Cox at #8.  Eddie Klimara #7 seed, Jordan Conaway #11 seed. Conaway should be higher, and Cox shouldn't be seeded frankly. He's comparable to an attrition based fighter winning off of grit and not so much superiority.  Potential Matches to watch: #9 Dylan Peters vs. Jesse Delgado, Jesse Delgado vs.  #1 Alan Waters, #5 Sean Boyle vs. #4 Nathan Tomasello, Jordan Conaway vs. Thomas Gilman, Zeke Moisey vs. Sean Boyle in blood round, #2 Nahshon Garret vs. #3 Joey Dance. Do yourself a favor and watch Joey Dance, he's a blast to watch.  125 champ going to be tie between 4 guys: Alan Waters, Nathan Tomasello, Nahshon garret, Joey Dance. Safe bet is Waters, but he has Tomasello in semis.
133:
Bracket Busters: AJ Schopp, Jimmy Gulibon, Mason Beckman,. Cody Brewer Potential Busts: None really, 33 is a meat grinder. Seeding Blunders: #7 Jimmy Gulibon, #13 all-american Cody Brewer,  #14 Rossi Bruno, #15 Nick Soto(still coasting off his win over All-american of Minnesota's David Thorn 2 years ago.) Johnni Dijulius #4(very good wins, but also head-scratching losses, kind of boring wrestler, but he's freakishly good from elbow control) Matches to watch for: Chris Dardanes vs. AJ Schopp, AJ Schopp vs. Kevin Devoy, Jimmy Gulibon vs. Mason Beckman 2nd round, Cody brewer vs. Johnni Dijulius, Danny Sabatello vs. Earl Hall,  Rossi Bruno vs. Cory Clark,  Zane Richards vs. Johnni Dijulius, Zane richards vs. Chris Dardanes, Chris Dardanes vs. Bradley Taylor, Bradley Taylor vs. Jimmy gulibon, Bradley Taylor vs. Mason Beckman. Bradley Taylor vs. Cory Clark. Going with Dardanes here. Undefeated @23-0 and has wins over Taylor, Richards, Gulibon, Clark, Bruno,
141:
Bracket Busters:Nick Dardanes, Lavion Mayes, Zach Horan, Anthony Abidin. Potential Busts: Josh Dziewa, Lavion Mayes, Anthony Ashnault. Matches to watch for: Logan Stieber vs. Mitchell Port finals, Lavion Mayes vs. Nick Dardanes quarters, Geo Martinez vs. Anthony Abidin, Zach horan vs. Anthony Ashnault,  National finals rematch of Logan Stieber vs. Devin Carter in semis. Lavion Mayes vs. Mitchell Port, Chris Mecate vs. Lavion Mayes. Stieber rolls to the finals as it is clear he is clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the field. only guy that only gave him some trouble was Nick Dardanes but Logan won 9-8. 3 time antional champ should look to get his fourth title here.
149: Warning, Jason tsirtsis is the jon Fitch of wrestling, so be forewarned he is incredibly boring, but a returning national champion.
Bracket Busters: BJ Clagon, Cj Cobb, Kyle Langdenfer, Josh Kindig, Alec Pantaleo, Zack Beitz, Chris Perez.  potential matches to watch for: Houdashelt vs. Sorensen in semi's. Houdashelt vs. Cobb,  Perez vs. Richardson, BJ Clagon vs. Jason Tsirtsis, Dave Habat vs. Josh Kindig, Hunter Stieber vs. Cody ruggerilo,  Chris Villalonga vs. Zack beitz,  Alec Pantaleo vs. tywan Claxton. Jason Tsirtsis vs. Drake Houdashelt. Dave Habat vs. BJ Clagon, Dave Habat vs. Hunter Stieber, Sal mastriani vs. Jason tsirtsis. Pick is between Houdashelt/tsirtsis/Sorensen. Go with Tsirtsis or Houdashelt.

157 seeding blunders: Cody Pack @5 seed,  Ian Miller as a #7 seed, needs to be higher, recency bias in putting Brian Realbuto @ 2 seed, only big win so far is Dylan Ness which is a big win for sure. Brian Murphy as a #11 seed, needs to be higher, Josh Dmas as a #6 seed, needs to be lower. John Boyle as a #8 seed, way too high.  Nick Brascetta being unseeded. Overall there are 7 all-americans in this field.

Might see if there's still tickets available for an early session or if anyone is selling. Was looking at them a few weeks ago but the last few sessions and all session tickets were just more than I was willing to spend. If not then will still probably watch the opening round and then the late rounds.
