Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Lorenzo Fertitta and President Dana White will hold a special press conference on Feb. 18 to discuss the promotion’ s recent outbreak of failed drug tests.

The plans were revealed during UFC Tonight on Wednesday. It remains unclear where the event will take place.

Since Jan. 1, there have been multiple instances involving high-profile UFC fighters testing positive for everything from cocaine to anabolic steroids. While the UFC doesn’t have a standardized system in place for drug testing, both the Nevada Athletic Commission and California State Athletic Commission have made it clear that they will be testing much more frequently.

Last October, Fertitta said that the promotion was planning to fully implement comprehensive random testing for the entire roster. But after the UFC flubbed the handling of Cung Le’s drug test following UFC Fight Night in Macau, White told MMAFighting.com that the Las Vegas-based promotion would help fund the process but not oversee it.
