Not confirmed, but fantastic when it is. Thought I'd pick Rockhold, but gut is telling me Machida pulls this one out and sends Luke back to the drawing board.

We should also consider that it is 5 round fight, I would give the edge to Machida as the fight advances to championship rounds.

I actually like Rockhold in this one. He uses his range well and he's a pretty long guy. I think even the way Machida spaces himself, he should still be within Luke's range which solves a lot of issues for Rockhold.

I like this fight. Leaning slightly toward Machida, but Rockhold has a really good chance of taking it.

Rockhold should win. i doubt either can control each other on the ground for anymore than 10secs.

It should come down to the striking where Luke is better.

Both have great kicks but Machida has one punching technique which is the straight left, he'll only ever throw with his right effectively in a flurry, but that's after he's hurt someone with the left.

He's going to have to try and land that left against a fellow south paw which is not easy. never mind the fact that Rockhold is tall and has a great right check hook on top of it.

Both guys can be passive though, so i can't see it being a complete blow out from Rockhold but still a clear cut decision.

I think this has FOTY potential. Southpaw on southpaw makes the fight ending body kicks tougher to land. I'd say their wrestling counter acts each other. I think Machida's a bit faster and has better distancing while Rockrolt has a bit more power and better utilizes the right hand but Machida can land solid, quick right elbows. Tough fight to pick, but I gotta go with The Dragon, speed kills.

I don't think Rockholds striking is better...more diverse maybe. But Machida has his tricks mastered.

I will enjoy this fight a lot for the technicality. May be boring to the casual fan...

Uh... I see Rockhold is the picking % favorite and most people don't seem too confident about either guy winning. Am I the only one who thinks Machida is not only the overall better fighter but also a horrible stylistic matchup for Rockhold? Belfort was the only guy he faced who actually knew how to circle away, and Rockhold looked more confused during the fight than when he woke up afterwards...
