I really think Rashad needs to drop this. Despite the photo you see of me at the right, not only do I believe that Rashad has absolutely no shot if he fights Jones, but it will break him totally - just like Jens Pulver, Ken Shamrock, Vernon White, Wanderlei Silva, and David Heath were totally broken by their epic grudge-match losses to BJ, Tito, Chuck, Rampage, and Babalu, respectively.
I'm almost going so far as to rooting for Tito, so that Rashad doesn't train-wreck his career this way - and I am picking Tito to win, based on the fact that Tito won the first meeting in everything but name, Tito vastly outperformed Rashad against the best common opponent they both faced (Lyoto Machida), and Rashad's ring rust and self-imposed change of camps.
Then hopefully Rashad will move down to 185, where he not only belongs, but would be a far more exciting and hence, far more popular fighter.

Totally agree; and Rashad might not even need to fight Anderson Silva the way it may play out - as by the time Rashad worked himself into a position for a MW title shot, Anderson Silva might not even have the belt, either because by then he will have retired, moved up to 205 (perhaps at Dana White's insistence after Jones has emptied that weight class of all its realistic contenders, who will have either moved up to HW or gone down to 185), or simply gone bad all of a sudden without any warning, the way Chuck did when he was only very slightly older than Anderson Silva is now (36).
And I actually think Brian Stann can beat Anderson Silva, if he gets a shot at him - and then Rashad might very well fight Stann at 185, which would be sort of a "kinder, gentler" version of what Evans vs. Jones would be, with Stann also being a Jackson's fighter.

Methinks you're just being gracious because Rashad beat Thiago - or did he, really?
I've heard people whose MMA opinions I respect claim that fight should have been a draw because Thiago won the 3rd round 10-8.
