Don't really know any of them hopefully they can find some decent talent though.  Why is there an 0-1 guy and a guy who has lost his last 3 fights on the show though. There has to be better talent than that trying out for the show?

@Jeremy I'm fairly certain these records aren't 100% documented and they're missing a lot of fights.

Plus they must have shown some sort of abilities at the tryouts.

Sherdog.com still has Alex Torres as 0-0, but I have seen him fight and win IRL. I don´t know what´s up with that.
edit: Actually, i don´t even know if  this alex torres is the one on Sherdog.com.

This thread was buried deep, but I pulled it out of the abyss to say that Yair Rodriguez looked impressive in his first fight against Humberto Brown. Granted Humberto is 4-4, but Yair has pretty fluid striking, cut angles pretty well, had an extremely active guard and finished with a triangle. I'll be very interested to see how this kid looks going forward. Right now he's my favorite to win the featherweight contract. He and Moggly have been the most impressive to me so far.

Also, Team Mexico has won all 4 bouts so far. I think this season could be a clean sweep.

José Alberto Quiñones defeated Bentley Syler via TKO (punches) in round 1.

Gabriel Benítez defeated Diego Rivas via Submission (rear naked choke) in round 2.

Alejandro Perez defeated Fredy Serrano via Unanimous Decision in 3 rounds.

Yair Rodriguez defeated Humberto Brown via Submission (triangle) in round 2.

I think the next fight should be fairly competitive as Enrique Briones takes on Marlon Vera.

If Marlon Vera or Guido Cannetti don't win, I think Team Latin America gets shut out. They've all looked fairly terrible so far from Team Latin America. The first fight was a guy we have listed as 0-1 (Quinones) taking on a guy we have listed as 5-0 (Syler) and Syler got dominated and KO'd. I feel bad for them honestly.

Yeah, this show is looking bad for the Latin America team. Serrano and Sylar were probably the best Latin America prospects and they both lost. Serrano definitely still has future potential at least.

Werdum starting to get frustrated. Funny quote from last episode where he's talking about Brown, "His nickname is anaconda. I don't know why and I don't wanna know why."

Canetti and the Mexicans continue to act like ******s. I'm really surprised there aren't any Peruvians this season considering it's arguably the best country at MMA behind Brazil in South America.

I don't think they found he best Latin American fighters for the show. If they did, then I'm sad.

I'll watch this next fight to see how "Rolo" does, but I'm almost certain that he will lose. A Rolo is a person from Bogota, FYI.

well that was some ******** decision.
Even with the deduction for kicking the arm of a downed opponent two out of three judges still gave the mexican a round... And I honestly cant work out which round or what for. That shouldve been 20-18, 19-18 with the deduction, not 18-19.
If we'd had bad judges but not the deduction, majority draw- 3rd round, Im not convinced he'd answer the bell, he was broken by the end of the 2nd- dosnt look like someone whos just won the match to me

Cannetti got robbed, at the very least it should have been a third round and Marco was dead after the fight. I don't understand how Marco was even proud of that. I also disagree with the point being taken, it was a light grazing shot and that ****** had a very delayed reaction to it. Meaning of course that once he realized what was happening he flopped like fish. I hope Canetti gets a shot on the finale and of course that Marco is brutalized in the semi's.
