I don't think Hioki is going to be able to take this down. Roop punishes for takedowns and I feel he can do in this fight what he did to Grispi. I'm feeling the upset.

Roop is going to get one of his long limbs tweaked.  Roop's stand up is OK, the biggest thing he has going for him is that he's tall.  That's not much.  
You can say Roop's not going to let this fight go to the ground, but don't you think all of Hioki's opponents have said that?  That tells you how skilled a guy is, when his opponents know what he's going to do and he does it anyway.

Hioki is consensus top 5, Roop is nowhere near the top ten.  This fight will illustrate why.

no Japanese fighter belongs in the UFC in my opinion .. they just all suck and seem weak .. I don't know if it's genetics or what .. but when a Japanese fighter goes against an American Fighter like George Roop who beated Josh Grispi easily .. I can't see how Hioki can win this .. Roop is too big for him and will keep it standing with leg keeps and his reach to keep the distance and win by KO/TKO or deicison

@jesuseatsnubs First off Yushin Okami is 10-3 in the UFC with his losses coming from Rich Franklin, Chael Sonnen and Andy Silva, second, Cole Escovedo is a fairly well known guy and third, this is Tapology  so please tone down the ignorance and silly troll speak of genetic disadvantages.

Hold on, Rich Franklin was the champion of that division for a very long time. I agree with you that japanese fighters dont do well in the ufc but to call them horrible and say they suck is a bit extreme.

satoshi ishii, masato uchishiba, choi min-ho, zou shming, somjit jonjoho, zhang xiaoping, son tae jin, and so on these are just a few gold medal winners from the last olympic games in boxing, judo or taekwondo the list goes on and on research if you like. @jesuseatsnubs where did you hear this genetic caucasian male ********, at the last hitler assembly, this is just racist bs imo

@Nubs, I'll agree that they tend to struggle which I think is mostly due to not cutting weight, but to say they are weak and suck is ignorant. There have been some successful ones in the UFC; Okami, Mizugaki did pretty well in his last fight, Omigawa lost to top contender Mendes and then got robbed against Elkins, and while not in the UFC Sakuraba defeated some top UFC fighters.
