Randy Coutore is #2 all time in the UFC in strikes landed with 778. Any guesses on who's #1?

Where did you see this? Fightmetric disagrees.

My guess was either Fitch or GSP. Fitch does land a lot of pitter patter.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sonnen is #1 before long. Didn't he land over 300 in just the Silva fight. Add in his Okami, Marquardt, Miller, Sobral, Horn, and Maia fights and I'm sure its close.

@krazy, agreed. Like how does Fightmetric determine what is a significant strike and what is not.

So many different numbers ahh. UFC website says stats provided by Fightmetric, but when I go to Fightmetric, they give different numbers lol.

i thought it was laughable when they were showing who has the best tdd %, that couldn't be more subjective, who's trying to take you down, how many attempts, etc...

one stat that i think means a lot, is time on you're back....when they talk about how little time gsp has spent on his back, that is significant

@krazy, agreed. I guess the strikes absorbed isn't to subjective, and its amazing how little Phil Davis gets hit.

yeah i'm very high on phil, i'm actually glad he got pulled from the rashad fight. i think he could have won the fight, but i thought it was pretty big leap in competition. he said before that fight he wanted to take some time off and work on getting better, hopefully he'll get that chance. i think him and jon jones will completely dominate that division in time

I agree that stats are sometimes overated but they do tell a small part of the story. GSP has hit his opponet more times then anyone else has and he just turned 30. I think that's a fairly impressive thing.
