Probably one of the worst match ups he could have received. Would have much preferred seeing him fight someone like Ryan Jimmo or James Te Huna. Phil Davis should maul him without problem.

Love this fight, I believe in Rumble.

It really is a good card. Plenty of predictable fights or at least fights that you can pick with more confidence. I'm already seeing the dollar signs.

Davis is a fantastic athlete, but I honestly can't stand watching his fights, and I agree that this is a crappy opponent for Rumble to be making his re-debut against.

That said, they needed someone to fight Davis.

I've been looking up Rumble's record. How did he go from Welterweight in 2011 to Heavyweight in 2013. Cheese burgers or PEDs? or did he cut a Gleison Tibau amount of water weight to get WW?

Fun fact, his last UFC win was vs. Charlie Brenneman ... they're now fighting 50 ******* lbs apart!!!

Tibau had nothing on Welterweight Rumble.....

Great to see Johnson back in the UFC, but they are wasting no time giving him a stern test.  Davis is gonna Koscheck him.

Hate this fight , Davis should have no problem with Rumble. Would rather see Rumble with someone that would stand with him in his first fight back.

Did anyone really expect him to get an easy fight for his re-debut? He didn't have the greatest run last time due to his weight so I don't know why they would give him a softball fight right away. I think this has a lot to do with showing the talent differences between the UFC and WSOF. Rumble was one of the best fighters for WSOF and they are throwing him in with one of the UFC's more mediocre top level guys in order to prove a point.

Anthony is a prooved fighter there´s no reason to go easy on him, he is not a new young prospect making his first apperance in the octagon, and this fight will tell if he has improved his ground game. Imo is not about him defeating Davis but to see if he can hang with the big guys in the UFC, if he manages to put on a good performance even if he looses the fight, theýll give him another chance with an easier match.

lets just hope is not a snooze fest

Yeah, I'll agree with everyone's sentiments. I'm happy Rumble is back, but he will most likely lose this fight very boringly.

Good to see Johnson back in the UFC, I think his wrestling is good enough to negate Davis and his striking will get him the win here.
