I was going to do 9 rounds for 10 member teams, however, if the captains would like to go with 12, I'm okay w/ that.
ED209 still on the clock!

Thanks for the head's up. To the other 5 captains, if you would like to send a list of your top10 to one of the three commish's to avoid this type of thing, please feel free to do that. We will select for you your top ranked available picker... just a thought.
ED209 still up.

and i don't think joe kerr wants to play this season he mentioned that the other day . just because we pick most events doesn't mean we have to play kalibo it's a game and people choose to play games .

Do you research and draft away. @TheMMAGuy beat me to posting last season's final standings, but lately I've seen some new rising stars on the weekend comps you might want to check out.
You can either draft people that pick everything, let them know they were drafted afterwards and hope they're on board (risky, but you snag good players faster) or you can do what I did last season which was not draft anyone until he confirmed he's on board, it's a lot of "legwork" (well, actually writing on profile pages, but you know what I mean) I missed out on a few players I wanted but didn't have to trade throughout the season and ended up with an awesome and committed team.
I personally am going to do that again and not draft anyone who doesn't want to be in even if he picks everything and is the best picker on the site since I enjoy the in-team interaction as much as the winning matchups if not more, but that's a personal choice, not a guideline. I might not write on profiles and wait for confirmation so's not to hold up the draft but I'm going for people I'm pretty sure want to play.
I'd rather have people on my team, not names.
I'll be posting my usual non-playing scouting (which you might remember from last season includes the best pickers of all chosen events) report mid-season if anyone wants to trade and the weekly top 100 will also include be padded out with the best guys that aren't playing so even if you **** up in the draft it's no a death blow, one of last year's finalists started off 0-3 and were an amazing team after a few tweeks so just have fun with it, it's not rocket science :)

So I'll bump the thread, but whoever enjoys this and cares, please p-a-r-t-i-c-i-p-a-t-e!!
You too @gunn, I know you're not playing, but I also know you care and you've got great input and you're a veteran of the game and a top player. Maybe if you help sort things out you might reconsider your stance on playing (which would make me personally happy).

Lets look at the last couple of weeks
Last week
UFC on FOX 10
RFA 12 (some think RFA is garbage...)
there is your Major events for the week
WSOF 8
MFC 39
UFC FN 35
theres the week before.
and some times there will be less than that. So the Question is do want minimum events 1-3 a week which doesnt leave much room for error and is kind of a waste of time. or drop the big league moniker and pick a minimum number of events and fill it with the best possible events. Not everyone will be happy but if its stated that its not just big league but best of. they don't have room to disagree. then you can take the list Gloom wrote up and rank the events by how good they normally are and work from that. Its all subjective anyway. Some people think RFA is **** and most think its awesome. I personally like an event like CAGE which is a major Org in scandinavia but not big on a global stage.
But if this stuff is decided on and set in stone before the game starts then people can go , ok I do/don't want to play that game . Then you dont have a **** lode of zeroes put up and you don't have people yelling because you added something that wasnt stated would be in the game. I agree there was some none big league events in last year and the year before. So the game wasnt played as stated. But id personally like to have a min number of events to keep it interesting on weeks when there is jack squat going on in the MMA world.
Personally I don't care whats decided , it's your guys game ,play it how you want but if things are not set in stone and you change **** mid game thats where your problem lies. I enjoyed the last two but all the **** slinging took its toll.
