just watched McCorkle's interview here  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttNHbz7Yx4Q although he comes across as a bit egotistical for the most part, some bits are quite funny

says Hayes looks like a ******** 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and his fight predicton was quite funny... he also said he'd be undefeated if it wasn't for Yves Lavigne??

i'm watching it now, i'm just past the bit where he said about Hayes pulling out due to not being able to get the paperwork from Bellator, he said he's now fighting Cameron Befort at 285lb [Sherdog / The UG]

i stopped watching/listening after the Evan Tanner comment, i admit i was laughing for the majority of it up until that point, he crossed the line in my opinion, he came close with the Rogers and Hamil jibes but crossed it by a mile with the Tanner comment, he kept saying "its meant to be funny"... how is that funny or at what point did he think anyone would find it funny, especially with a purely MMA audience.

i mean its not even a relavent subject and there are so many other punchlines/fighters he could of gone with and achieved the same comparison of it 'being as bad an idea as'  ...  i think he was purposely trying to be as offensive as possible

i don't like to bash fighters even if i'm not their biggest fan but maybe he really is that stupid and ignorant that he genuinely thought he was being funny

no problem, i don't have any problem with your reaction....for me i don't have a huge problem with it, but i am huge fan of stand up comedy and am hoping to become a comedian so its not the worse thing i've heard someone say. i'm kinda desensitized

but i certainly understand someone being offended

i'm not really offended i just can't be bothered giving him any more of my time if you know what i mean

as i said i thought it was funny as hell for a while, i laughed at the Rogers joke because even though it too could be seen as offensive (to the kids involved at least) it was clever in a way, a recent subject and the sort of thing most people would make a joke about with friends etc but maybe not say in an interview, but then the jokes went from boarder line offensive (which is usually when their funniest) to just trying to say the worst thing he could (mma wise) to get a reaction, he tested the waters with the Rogers/Hamil digs and then dove right in with Tanner.

i enjoy comedy (offensive or not) or even when its at my own expense when there is some intelligence behind it.

don't get me wrong i'm not offended easily or anything,  i wouldn't like to admit the kind of jokes i have found and do find funny for fear of offending others lol, that's not to say i agree with or support any of the subjects but i can appreciate the joke

i understand what you mean, lol i wouldn't admit to what i find funny either for the same reasons. to me this is a guy trying to be funny, and being somewhat succesful with it and just not knowing where to stop...the hamil/rogers/asian jokes were all offensive to some ppl.
