Well, it was fun thinking about Thomson as a contender while it lasted. Hell, he could pull out the upset victory here, but I just think Bendo is going to bounce back, and bounce back big time. Then again, he barely got by Melendez in a controversial decision, who barely got by Thomson in a controversial decision.

watching a few of bensons fights now he really is solid in all areas . pettis just seems to have his number . i like both josh and benson they both come to fight and always put on a show for the fan

i have picked benson to win i think they both fight alike and that josh is better in some areas but benson can do most of what jost can do . but all in all I cannot wait for this fight and card

Don't think Bendo is big enough to compete at the upper echelon of the WW division. GSP used to be one of the bigger guys at 170 but nowadays he's about average. Guys like Hendricks would toss him around IMHO. Almost wish there an intermediate Diego Sanchez sized division.

He's not big enough now but he could get there. He said the weight cut is extreme to 155. I could see him having a similar physique to Hendricks or even *gasp* Lombard when I close my eyes and imagine it. Not in a gay way or anything.

Bendo could definitely put on some mass but I think he'd look more like Lombard did at 185. I think he'd beat the gatekeepers but struggle with strong wrestlers and taller strikers but who knows we'll see. As for Hendricks, he is huge for that weight class I just don't see Bendo getting up to 220 precut.

There's part of me that still wants to see a reconfiguration of the weight classes and have weifht classes at 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, and 170. There are more than enough fighters at 155 and 170 to make it happen IMHO, not sue about the lower weight classes though.

Hendricks is smaller than.Lombard, he just gets much fatter thus 220, he couls walk around 190 no problem in reality. Mike Tyson was walking around 220 in his prime, Johnys not half as big.

Also Henderson doesnt have the thickness or width to be the size of Lombard or Johny and function profitably from it.

This is tough but I think Henderson's defensive wrestling nullifies Thomson's takedown edge and since he has a good chin I don't think Josh can finish him so the edge goes to Bendo for superior striking on points.
