I don't think its a foregone conclusion that Lombard runs through Shields like a lot of people are predicting. Shields has fought a LOT of heavy hitters and only one (Ellenberger) has put him away and didn't his dad die before that fight or something? Hendo, Lawler, Woodley, Daley all hit just as hard as Lombard and Shields grinded out all of 'em.

Prediction: wrong Shields   wrong Decision  

UFC should scratch this fight. Make Condit vs Shields 2 for the shot at the Belt next. The make Lombard vs Woodly.  This makes way more sense in terms of rankings.

lombard will win jake is a step up from most the people lombard has beat but i have faith he can win this fight . i like jake sheilds to and he is no slob in the cage winner of this fight needs to fight on ppv vs a top 10 fighter :D

@franklin couldn't agree more. There isn't anyone that makes more sense for Condit then Shields right now. I love the T-Wood/Lombard match-up too.

Out of all four losses.Lombards only decisive loss was to Mousasi.

Well, you've got to remember that Lombard did get 5th place in Judo from the 2000 games so it's not very likely that Shields will out-grapple him or have much success taking him down either.  Here's a submission grappling match were he channeled his inner Palhares in.

I can see a good reason for all the people on gunn's ****list. I may not agree with him, but they're definitely disliked by a decent amount of people. Ie: Vitor TRT, Reem for the constant steroid allegations and TRT, Diaz for his personality, Palhares for refusing to let go of a hold. 

The one that baffles me is Lombard. I feel most people didn't like him because of the hype and the Boetsch fight, but after that Marquardt KO, I feel he silenced a lot of people.
