Menjivar could probably beat just about anyone if he fought to win. I don't subscribe to his philosophy of indulging where his opponents want to take the fight to and beating them in the game they feel most comfortible with.

pace is a grappling heavy fighter, Menjivar in the past has had trouble with being takendown, menjivar fought valencia last fight and crushed him but that wasnt much of an opponent... might see an upset here by decision or submission.

I think Menjivar will do fine after looking into his record some more. He's had fights with Lauzon, Serra, and Shaolin who all probably have better BJJ then Pace. He's only been subbed once in his career and that was in 2002. You could still be right, Pace is young and should still be improving every fight, so who knows.

I keep flip flopping with this fight. A part of me wants me to pick my hometown guy (pace), while the other says to play it safe and pick the guy whos had bigger wins and more expierence. Knowing myself, i will probably cave in at the last minute and pick pace.
