Hi im new to the message boards here, as ESPN has recently closed theirs, so this is my first official post.

Already booked UFC MW bouts:
*1Weidman-2Silva are set for a Xmas rematch
8Souza-5Okami
6Rockhold-10Boetsch
(Rumored) 4Bisping-7Munoz

This leaves 3Belfort and 9Philippou in the top ten. With rumors of Sonnen returning to MW to fight Wandy after Chael and Shogun square off.

Now we're left with 11-20 (Replacing Alexander Shlamenko of Bellator with Sonnen)
11Sonnen
12Belcher
13Le
14Kennedy
15Lombard
16Palhares
17Carmont
18Franklin
19Larkin
20Markes

Assuming Sonnen meets Wandy in his MW return, these are the open fights i would love to see:
Franklin-Belcher
Philippou-Le
Kennedy-Carmont
Lombard-Larkin
Palhares-Markes

Any of these fights not make sense? I could see Belcher fighting about anybody else, but I have wanted to see him fight Ace for a long time now. Thoughts?

*According to Tapologys MW rankings.

How can you add Chael Sonnen to a ranking for a division he hasn't even returned to yet?  Not to mention take Shlemenko off of the list completely, Unless by replace him, you mean hes the # 10 guy...your top 20 and my top 20 are very different my friend.

Boetch and Belcher over Lombard and Kennedy, really?

You do know that Lombard has left the division and is about to make his welterweight debut against Nate Marquardt, right?

At the bottom he says according to Tapologys Standings . Lombard probably cant be put in the WW standings yet till he officially fights and not sure about Sonnen. Either way he probably should have ranked them how he though they should be ranked and didnt know Tapology is a group user ranking.

Anyway welcome to Tapology Kage

Larkin vs. Alessio Sakara is what I want. That fight looks awesome on paper.
Kennedy vs. Dollaway
Phillipou vs. Carmont

Le is going to be filming TUF China so he'll be out of fighting for a while.

Belfort vs. Mousasi.

Lombard is still a MW fighter until he fights at another weight, therefore he should still be ranked as a MW. I just don't think Alan Belcher should be ranked higher than him

I hear Paul Harris is going down to 170 too. Can anyone confirm this?

I was reading a thing on mmacrypt a while back that he was considering moving down, but nothing was confirmed, hes a big guy though, I don't see how that would be an easy cut.

Lombard is already scheduled for a WW fight and Palhares has said he is going down.

Here's my rankings:

I have Schlemenko at #8 in my overall rankings. He's the only Bellator MW I have ranked.

I'd like to see Larkin/Belcher, Kennedy/Carmont, and Philippou/Markes. And I agree with Vitor/Mousasi

Robert Drysdale needs to drop down to 185 and fight Roger Gracie, it has to happen. Or at least at a catchweight.

Yeah I understand that guys, but my point is if he's leaving the division he can't be part of the MW future or any of the potential matchups that were the entire point of this thread.

I think Roger might be heading back to 205 so it can happen there...

Thanks

I did not in fact know that lombard was dropping, although i like it, i think its a smart move for him. And Sonnen had stated he was returning to MW after only a 2nd LHW fight, i was assuming he was leaving immediately after his Shogun fight. But thanks all, huge fan, im not always up to date, but i try to catch myself up before i post dumb things haha.

I know Okami is more often fighting, but in comparison, i could never put him above Franklin.

The Middleweight division as always been crazy stacked outside the UFC compared to 155, 170, 205 and 265. I always found that interesting.

I couldn't imagine a MW division without Silva as the champ, but hey.
