An armed man with a history of violence(assaulted a police officer, restraining order placed against him by former girlfriend) follows an unarmed teenager and subsequently fatally shoots him. How is that not manslaughter at the very least? There is no evidence that implies who initiated the confrontation, but circumstantial evidence points towards Zimmerman, so his self defense claim is not reliable and never proven.

The evidence that was presented by Zimmerman's attorneys. Not to mention all the recants by Prosecution's witnesses when their feet were put to the fire.

Jody you know that originally there were no charges filed until that SLORE Nancy Grace made a big fuss about all this ****. Now we see why there were no charges filed because the state just wasted a ton of money prosecuting a guy that was not guilty.

There are no ******* winners in this situation. ZImmerman has to go on the rest of his life knowing he took someone's life and looking over his shoulder wondering who will try and take his life in retaliation.

There was a good reason the neighborhood watch guy was checking out someone he didn't recognize, there had been home invasions in that complex recently.

This case was stupid. Florida's stupid. The prosecution is full of imbeciles. Every level authority completely mishandled this. President Obama should never have commented on this case as it did not involve a federal policy and had nothing to do with anything his office has any kind of control over. The defense did their jobs adequately, even facing one of the toughest juries possible (all women, mostly mothers). Zimmerman got off because of the complete lack of intelligence of the prosecuting team. Is this justice? According to the American legal system, yes it is.

just because you have break ins in your neighborhood doesn't mean you can go stalking anyone who looks suspicious with a gun. Martin was staying in said neighborhood and had no criminal record. The police were en route and Zimmerman was instructed NOT to follow Martin.
