I find it so odd that Askren is near guys like Pettis and Roufus on a daily basis yet has zero striking ability..

Askren has no striking ability because he's a stubborn wrestler who chooses 1) NOT to strike with ANYONE and 2) hasn't fought anyone with a decent combination of TDD and Striking.

The guy talks an enormous amount of **** for not really fighting anyone significant. Anyone who ranks him top 10 is out of their mind IMO!

I have a theory on Ben Askren. I believe that Askren is pulling the ultimate troll on everyone and is in fact a great striker.

Askren is probably the best wrestler to have entered MMA and probably thought that making his grappling game elite being that he became a brown belt in BJJ within only a few years. He probably didn't focus on his striking because he knows once he gets his hands on his opponent they are going to be on the their back, whether they like it or not.

Technically either Kevin Jackson or Mark Schultz was the best wrestler to enter MMA.  Or Mark Coleman.

askren is starting to turn into one of my favorite fighters , so pumped for this fight ! this is one of the rare times im excited for a bellator event  .

Can't stand Askren, I always hope for him to get KO'd and get sadly disappointed as he continues to hump his way to victory every time. We get it, you exploit the rules which favor wrestling and stalling, you don't need to tell us that fighters "shouldn't take risks" and exciting fighters are "stupid"

Maybe Koreshkov can get it done but expect Askren to break out his lube for this 'fight'.

Askren has gotta get the hell out of Bellator he is probably the most talented fighter outside of the UFC right now.Then again it is a bellator contract so he might to wait 3 or 4 years to get out

If Askren wants in the UFC, he's gonna have to work on that striking for sure. At least his GnP has improved if the Amoussou fight was any indication.

Askren's striking has got to be getting better with the whole Roufusport club being his training camp. Sergio & Anthony Pettis and Erik Koch are some high quality training partners. Honestly, if his striking doesn't get better, but his GnP starts knocking people out, the UFC will want him.
