Damn, I knew that fight was too good to be true.

Good for zombie to get the shot.

Hopefully Pettis/Aldo will still happen, but if Aldo moves up I suppose it will have to be @155.

Unreal, Pettis is having some terrible luck when it comes to title fights.... must have been fairly serious if he's pulling out already.....

KZ will be on 18 months off with multiple surgeries included. . . .  i'd prefer he gets one more fight before the title shot just to wipe the rust off

Jose Aldo KOs KZ in the 1st and then challenges the winner of Henderson/Grant for the 155 strap. Winner of Henderson/Grant vs. Aldo will defend 155 belt against Pettis. Sounds good.

Although KZ vs Aldo isn't that bad of a replacement it sucks hard for Pettis, he always has this luck with his title shots.

Damn! What about Lamas?
Lamas vs. Nik Lentz?
Maybe this keeps Aldo at featherweight longer?

Still this is a great fight.

@Zarog- Maybe Pettis fights Henderson/Grant winner and Aldo defends his belt one more time at featherweight versus a Lamas or Mendes if he gets past Zombie.

HOLY ****!!!

I'm pissed off about the Aldo/Pettis fight, but happy for my favorite fighter getting the shot!!!!

Poor Lamas, he did everything he needed to do, beat the man who was supposed to fight Aldo before him (Koch), beat the guy they offered the shot before that (Hioki) and before that he beat the guy many say is one step away from "the mix" or at least right there if he beats Siver (Cub) and still gets passed over AND he's ranked #3 in the UFC's "official" rankings!!!

Basically saying that Cub+Hioki+Koch > Garcia+Hominick+Poirier (on the other hand barn burners + 7 sec KO + twister + army of Zombie fans > good fighter who only hardcores know how good he is).

Anyway, who cares ... WAR KZEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

that sucks...neither do we get Aldo vs. Pettis nor will i be able to watch the Zombie live in Vegas...it was just too good to be true if there wouldn't have been a major change on 162 :/

love it for the zombie though...hope he does well

Happy that KZ gets his shot, but honestly, I really wanted to see Pettis/Aldo. Pettis can't catch a break. That's 2 title shots that were swept out from under him.

I'm actually kind of happy this happened because we'll probably get to see Pettis/Bendo 2 if Bendo beats Grant. I am pretty disappointed Pettis/Aldo was cancelled though, that would've been awesome.

YES!  finally,  Korean zombie gets his shot and really while it's bad for Pettis in reality it's actually much better for the UFC's featherweight division so that it can get some much needed attention on the contenders in the weight class  and the fact that Aldo vs. Jung is going to be a absolutely sick fight that highlights  the diversity and excitement of the FW division.  While i did like Pettis vs. Aldo stylistically it showed that title shots weren't being taken as seriously anymore.  Not saying Pettis is a bad fighter by any stretch of the imagination,   but three consecutive wins at lightweight and getting a immediate featherweight title shot  doesn't really make sense.  Besides,   there is absolutely no way Aldo vs. Jung could be boring and not end in a finish.

Also, don't know who they'll book Lamas to fight but hopefully they book Mendes vs. Lamas which makes sense for the next top contender match-up and title shot. Give Guida, Nik Lentz as a replacement opponent at UFC 164.  Better match-ups for the division IMO
