Yeah he pretty much disappeared after he got called out for copying ACF (i think)

Slowly getting up there, it! Nothing on the site yet, but they're looking good. Be wary though that I tend to switch some around in the last 5-10 hours, so if you're not paying enough attention, the final results may differ... by say, 50-100 points.

Well we all know he copied Trae Black now so it shouldn't really count!

Congrats on another good weekend of picks Joe Kerr!

lol! My hard earned 26th place is looking mighty good now ... this mediocre picking is ALL mine :))

I think there should be a feature in Tapology that every picker with more than a number of comp wins' picks should be hidden even if they didn't specify it in their settings.

Make it happen, Dan... err Greg! :)

That's great and after going thru all the evidence i have concluded that without a shadow of a doubt Trae black is guilty and black. But don't worry even the worst criminals can rejoin society such as ISSEI SAGAWA did.

Hmm, KO, you didn't really think Ultra was running away with it just because he had some 600 points lead, did you? The reports about the end of my reign were somewhat exaggerated.

Only somewhat though, since this is going be the last one for me, at least for the time being. Good luck to everybody in the future games and congratulations to the next champion(s)!

@Greg, it's not that. I've actually checked "hide" on as many of my cards for next weekend as I remembered, if anything, to save people from more uncomfortable stuff in case of another epic coincidence. But me stepping down has to do with something else.

I've been playing this game for about 18 months non-stop now and I've gotten pretty good at it about 8-9 months ago. But it has become somehow, I don't know, hard for me very recently. And during the last week (yes, all 5 days) I just couldn't force myself to make any picks at all. I would open the window and stare at them blankly for some time only to later close it thinking "oh, I'll come back to it". And when I finally started making some and somehow forced myself through almost the full weekend (which is still much less than I'm used to doing - as I've done 400's - and shouldn't be a problem), I just couldn't bring myself to do any sensible research, even the minimum.

And after a couple of days ago when asked whether he will go back to picking full time Nick told me that he considers it "the worst idea ever", well, that gave me something to think too. I don't know if I'm burned out, if for whatever reason I've become bored with it or somehow disaffected (or even if that's a word at all, maybe "discouraged"?), but I just really don't feel like doing it anymore. I know I will keep making some picks even if only by force of habit, maybe even all of them if I have enough time and motivation, but definitely not in any competitive manner.

Hopefully though, this will pass and soon.

I actually stopped picking  all the cards as well due to the sheer amount of picks that are made each week, so I pick for the competitions that I want to pick, which are generally international cards in the eastern hemisphere. In that case, I can spend as much time on the comps as I want, whether I want to rush the picks or look in detail on each fighter.

@joe being burnt out certainly makes sense

But FYI... you can go to your profile preferences page and click the box for "hide picks" and then it will hide all of your picks by default.  And then you can on an event by event basis decide if you want to unhide them.  Instead of the other way around.

I think it's quite obvious that the site is dying, there's been about the same amount of UFC pickers for a long time and its definitely not growing. There used to be around 200 people thatd pick all the fights, now its down to about 45 and dwindling. I'd say that the site has had 6 truly elite pickers (ACFMMA, Danno, oldnick, joe Kerr, themmamessiah, r1zla) now with joe Kerr bowing out only r1 still makes picks and he doesn't even post. In fact I'd say there's less than 40 people who use the forum regularly and sadly around half really have no clue about MMA. The sites first 2 black belts kallous and soccer aren't around anymore either...

Now what are the reasons for this? There's definitely a multitude, but what it all means is that people are moving on and in a year I'm sure the greatest prophet of all time in anik will be ruling over and talking **** to well, no one.

This dying site had more pageviews last Saturday for a Brazil Fuel card than on any other day in its history.

Forum activity is basically flat and there are some improvements needed.  But LOL @ dying.

Also, about 200 people (or however many, I didn't look) used to pick all the fights because there were ~50 fights per weekend.

Now there are 400 fights per weekend and to @joe's point it gets to be too much for most mortals.
