If Ben Rothwell gets on one of his adrenaline trains like he did to beat Brendan Schaub it could be a pretty quick fight, but if he gases Vera can no doubt outpoint him for a decision, I gonna go for the more exciting of the two outcomes and hope for a Rothwell KO victory.

I basically see a boring three rounder where Rothwell just holds Vera against the fence the whole time.

Both these guys are so inconsistant best way for me to know who will win is to wait until the weigh in's and im going to pick the one who's in better shape!! i wonder what weight Vera will weigh in at i doubt it will be more than 230 which is what Rumble weighed vs Arlovski thats the only bearing i have to compare to but we'll see

Vera ain't knocking out Rothwell so I think Rothwell takes him down for 3 rounds.

I can see Vera putting on a muay thai clinic on Rothwell. Maybe not a knockout, but he's the more technically sound of the 2 fighters.

While I'm certainly not getting my hopes up for Vera, I am at least a little bit curious to see how he looks back at heavyweight again.  It's been a long time since he fought there, but looking back at his career, he never fought as well at 205 as he seemed to at heavyweight.

Not sure where everyone is getting this notion that he fought so much better at heavy weight.  He looked good against cans at heavy weight. Which is not surprising since they were cans and they were cans of the weakest division in MMA. The only legit win he even has at heavy weight was frank Mir. Who by the way was completely mentally not there. So he beat a mentally broken Mir, who could not hold a candle to his current self. Out side of that he beat cans at heavy weight. Then got his ass kicked by the only other two legit heavy weights he fought. Tim Sylvia who is not even good enough to be in the UFC anymore. And Vera got utterly dominated by Sylvia. Then you have Werdrum who knock him the **** out. And that was when Werdrum absolutely sucked at striking. So honestly I don't understanding were all this, "Vera looked so much better at heavy weight "stuff came from. He looked like **** at heavy weight. He was flabby and was not all that impressive. His 205 self would beat the ever living crap out of his heavy weight self.

I'm expecting a grind-fest by Rothwell.. But hoping Vera makes the best of his return to Heavyweight, I've always like him. If he can really work Rothwell in the standup in R1, he will win this fight. Rothwell has fairly terrible cardio.

Rothwell has a solid chin and big power in his strikes. His best chance however is TKOing Vera in the first round, because he'll probably gas 2 minutes into the second round and Vera won't be able to TKO him, but he'll be able to beat on him to a decision.

I like Big Ben but not in this fight. His cardio is awful and he's slooooow. If Vera uses his speed advantage and superior striking he'll take this.

Being that I can't think of one fighter that got a TRT exemption that has lost their first fight since getting it. I'm going with Rothwell.

Yeah because TRT wins fights. Ignorance really is bliss.

TRT allows for longer and more rigorous training and if they really have had trouble producing testosterone it will bring them back to levels they had when they were in their prime physical years. Ignorance really is bliss.

It sounds like every one on Tapology thinks TRT is this magical drug that if you take it you won't lose. TRT does allow for a fighter to train longer and harder but that doesn't mean that fighter has the discipline and willingness to. If fighter A is on TRT and fighter B is not but they have the same levels of Testosterone then where's the advantage? You're argument has nothing to do with my argument. TRT doesn't win fights. Bottom line. If you don't believe me ask Frank Mir, Dan Henderson, LaVar Johnson, Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt and many more. Picking a guy because he's on TRT is foolish. Ignorance is bliss.
