This division is shaping up to be pretty good. There are alot of fighters at 135 to get some good match ups.

I realize that professional female MMA fighters are, for the most part, highly skilled competitors but for whatever reason outside of Ronda I just don't enjoy watching any of them fight.

It doesn't help that Rousey will be -1000 or more against everyone she faces.

I'm sure that Dana will make it possible to bring Gina Carano to UFC. One fight between Ronda and Gina would be very interesting since economic point for Dana.

Gina doesn't fight since 2009, but with Dana White everything it's possible

I dont see Carano coming back. I can see her attending a card that has a female fight on it, but thats it. They will interview her about what she thinks about females in the UFC. They will ask her if she is gonna come back, and she is gonna say "idk, anything is possible> We all know she aint coming back. She could barley make 145 lol

As with so many other things, women are apparently held to a lesser standard, which is aggravating.  I'm happy to see the UFC bringing women's MMA in, and Ronda Rousey is certainly an extremely talented fighter.  However, when you look at a couple of the 4 new contracts, and their records, you have to ask...with the recent cuts that Dana White has made in the men's division, many of which were extremely questionable, how can he justify signing women with sub-par records?

Germaine is only 3-2, Julie Kedzie is 16-11.  Nunes is 7-3, but was only 1-1 in Strikeforce, so she's batting .50 in the big shows.  Yet, Dana White will **** can Jon Fitch, who was a top contender in his weight class, with victories over some of the top names in the game.  Granted, he was boring as hell to watch, but that doesn't change his success.

Does raise the question- theres probably a lot of lightweights thinking a move to featherweight puts you in a smaller division less likley to get cut... wonder if any mens 135ers are weighing up a sex change to be eligable to the only division recruiting.

@Lawman Those women have "sub-par" records but they are some of best out there and are some of the most recognizable names. I see nothing wrong with these signings.

Germaine is a 145er that is moving down . She is going to have a big size advantage at 135 like Struve , She just beat Yamanaka who was the #2 145er before Cyroid clobbered her. and her only losses are Budd whos a beast at 145 and Porto who may be the Invicta 125 champ soon. The fact that Germaine didnt get KOed by Budd shows shes a gamer.

Kedzie I kinda agree with record wise but she just had a good fight with Tate and she was already under contract with Zuffa as was Germaine so its not like they added these two to their payroll.

Nunes is like Chris Leben , shes going to go out and toss leather and put on a show win or lose. And she has a nice selection of good wins .

Since when is being a recognizable name enough to earn a contract with the UFC?  ****, the UFC has been cutting "recognizable names" by the handfuls lately.
