I don't know who he will fight next but no. I definitely don't see him being a contender anytime soon. His striking is more flashy then anything and if you put him in there with a serious boxer or kickboxer it would be a different story. Also, any decent wrestler will dominate him.

Well bantamweight is a thin division and the guy improves really fast. It's gonna be hard but definitely not impossible.

He's still young in a few years he might be a contender...

He's 24 and 3-3 in the UFC.  To get a name you must beat a name.  He must ask for better fighters if he wants to get into the Top 10.  He's a fun up and comer to watch and time will tell.

He seems to be improving every fight.  I think he has a lot of potential.  We'll see in a couple of years.

He wont ever fight for the belt, but he will always be in the UFC as long as he can put on good fights. There is always the potential of getting a FOTN bonus, or SOTN bonus. He will do just fine. Also, he doesnt need to fight Edwin again. Everybody knows he won that fight outside of those 2 points taken for the unintentional nutshots lol

I used to really dislike the guy, why, i do not know. Now i really like watching him, he's not really afraid of trying anything in there.

Competing as a lightweight on TUF 12, Caceres ran through Paul Barrow(1st-round submission) in the elimination round; Barrow, 3-0 at the time, is now 5-2 and just won his Bellator debut. The ciggy smoking and beer chuggingJeff Lentz was up next and Caceres locked in his signature triangle choke in the 2nd round; Lentz is now 9-2 with wins over former WEC fighter Anthony Leone and current UFC bantamweight Dustin Pague.

Now-accelerating lightweight Michael Johnson was the man to defeat Caceres on the show, but the loss was respectable then and even more so in retrospect, as Johnson's proving to be a legitimate talent with a 4-2 pace in the Octagon and wins over TUF 13 winner Tony Ferguson and former WEC grappling standouts Shane Roller (unanimous decision) and Danny Castillo(2nd-round TKO). Now -- Caceres' losses to Mackens Semerzier (1st-round submission) and Jim Hettes (2nd-round submission) after dropping to featherweight? No excuses. However, I might add that his performance against Hettes, who's established himself as an A-level submission grappler, was the first sign of his admirable evolution. he has wins in ufc aganist  Cole Escovedo,  Damacio Page and  Motonobu Tezuka and also he should have won that fight

Edwin Figueroa

He has totally improved alot since the show. Basically dropped down 2 weight classes to his natural weight class and has been doing pretty well with the competition he has been getting. I agree, he should have gotten the nod in the Edwin fight, but he point deductions are what ****** him in the end lol

bruce leroy will be champion. mark my words. he is rapidly getting more skills and more well rounded and he is the kind of fighter DW likes. he is gonna destroy this next guy. bank on that! plus he will entertain the crowd which is most important after the finish these days.

Sure, he'll destroy this next guy ... maybe. But when (if ever) he gets in there with guys like Pickett, Wineland, Menjivar, Faber, McDonald, Barao, etcetc.. He will lose, bad.
