Haven't seen a thread on this so i thought I'd make one.

So what's Tapology playing?

I've been dabbling in a bunch of games but i keep going back to Uncharted 3,Black Ops 2 and BF 3 multiplayer.

Yeah Far Cry is sick, the wildlife factor is too cool.

Dragon age inquisition is without a doubt the most expansive console rpg ever released.

They upped the **** out of the wildlife in FC4. ******* bald eagles picking up pigs and ****. ****. 

@Messiah More expansive than Morrowind: GOTY? Hmm...Might have to check out the Dragon Age games.

after playing V for the next gen, I got to realize something off topic about the GTA universe.

All of the cover arts for GTA III to present have had a helicopter in the top left of the cover.




Rockstar really knows how to have easter eggs.

@Zarog If you're going to try Dragon Age.. Make sure it's Inquisition I mean the first 2 are good and all but Inquisition is on another level. 

I played part way through the first two Dragon Age games when they were new and I liked them quite a bit. I think I'm gonna pick up the new one soon.

@hdmexiqtioner ya I noticed the connection when I first picked up SA. I always get a chuckle when I see people make fan-art for GTA and they forget the helicopter.

EA UFC is getting 4 legends added to the game in December. They will be free additions. No names yet.

Picked up Dragon Age Inquisition today and a few hours in.  Played through the first one twice and loved it, only played about 5 hours of part two a few years ago, not sure why, maybe I didn't like it.  Hopefully Inquisition kills 100+ hours, fun so far.  Hadn't played Bioshock Infinite yet and it was $20 so snagged that too.  Planning to get Far Cry 4 & The Walking Dead season two collection next.

Of note on Dragon Age Inquisition if anyone would be buying for 360, not next-gen, it requires a 7-8GB hard drive installation, so if you have one of the newer 360 slim 4GB models don't go buy the game thinkin you can play it, unless you have another hard drive attached in addition to what the 360 slim 4GB model had standard.  No idea why they pushed the 4GB system hard for so many years.  People that don't understand what the difference between a 250GB & 4GB is other than saving $50 when buying the system have probably been running into issue after issue over that savings unless they've spent at least $50 to upgrade it by now.

I understand pumping systems out & a-foot-in-the-door mentality with price point clinching sales but the console gaming community is so much more casual than the PC gaming community that I assume a lot of people don't find the 4GB to be easy to upgrade and feel bait-and-switched.  I mean the entire system fresh out of the box can handle half of the Dragon Age install and then not play the game.  Pretty sad there are so many people out there who bought the slim 4GB to save maybe $50 with no clue now how to get Inquisition to work on their system and no clue why it doesn't work.  Microsoft should've never released a 4GB 360 really.

Man, the start of Inquisition was so fun, but then they send you to a place to gather horses and ****.
I went from making decisions and having exciting battles to completing fetch quests and killing some wolves and low level mages and templars.

And the game is crashing on my machine all the time. I time my playing sessions on the amount of crashes im gonna play. I bought the game so no crack problems or anything, there's just some incompatibility with my machine.

How similar or different is Inquisition from Skyrim? I'm considering getting it though I still first have the entire Mass Effect trilogy on my to-play list.

I like it better then Skyrim.  World likely not quite as detailed as Skyrim, but it pretty much as big, with a lot more stuff you can do. Also there a lot more interactions with people in the world that skyrim lacked. You can also send other people on missions in this game which is kinda cool, instead of having to do everything yourself.

You can pretty much choose what ever mission you want, if you don't wanna do those fetch missions, just skip them. The game does not force you to do pretty much any of the missions. Though I recommend at least going over to that horse place, because you get a horse which make traveling faster. Also missions I did at the horse place was get my men all horses and also I built a bunch of guard towers, which I assume is going to come into play later in the game.

You did not play much of the second one most likely because you did not like it. I did the same thing, I played the first one twice, but the second one sucked. The second one was pretty much Fable 2 with companions, but ****tier.

ok, i like the tips fellas. 
sometimes side quests feel more like a choir than actual gaming, although i respect people that like them.

@kallousklown i would tell you to think about my complaint against side quests. if you like them, then its a wash and you might like both games the same. but if you want the main story, i would say get Inquisition for sure. Elder Scrolls games have worse combat and Dragon Age's characters and story have more character, in my opinion of course.

Skyrim had some hidden gem side quests. The one where you participate in the drinking contest in Solitude was hilarious. One of my favorite moments in the game.
