I can see okami stealing a few rounds with his wrestling if he uses the same blueprint that sonnen used. But in a 5 round fight i think he will eventually get caught, either standing or on the ground.

im not saying he has better wrestling...im saying he'd bore us with the "smother him against the cage for 2-3 rounds until he HOPEFULLY gets tired" approach...that might steal this fight for okami...be boo'ed out of brazil, but he'd win in that scenario

I just want to see St. Pierre vs. Silva already, so I'm hoping Silva beats Okami and St. Pierre beats Diaz.  Hopefully that chain of events would make GSP vs. Silva the next logical match-up for both of them.

It is possible to pick against Silva. Okami will win because he is coming to FIGHT Silva. Hopefully Anderson is clear on the rules this time.

@piercer, I think if it goes to decision it'll be Okami's hand getting raised unless Silva BRUTALIZES him standing up, which is definitely a possibility. Still gonna be rooting for an Okami upset, I've always liked that guy and he didn't look to bad the first time around. But they've both grown ALOT since then.

Honestly the ONLY way I can see Okami winning is LnP for 5 rounds, other than that Anderson is gonna kick the **** out of him.

It's hard to use their first fight to compare how the rematch will go.  In my opinion, in their first fight, Okami was having no success on his feet and when it went to the ground, Okami wasn't having much luck with his g'n'p.  Who knows how it would've played out without the foul, but wading through Silva's striking to try to get the take-down for five rounds is a good way to eventually get knocked out.  I don't think either fighter will be bringing any surprises to this fight.  I think Silva will be fired up and looking for redemption.

anderson is 100% training his TDD now, how can he not.. he knows theres a rematch with chael in the future, Yushin is training with chael.. and everyone in the world saw his fatal flaw in his game, even though he pulled out the win from his ass

i think we will see a more aggressive anderson with a better sprawl, and this time.. (you heard it here first).. using sweeps to stand up almost immediately instead of hanging in for the submission

Okami has a good style to give Anderson some problems, but I can't pick against Anderson.

Okami might win a round or two, but he's not going 5 rounds with Anderson without getting caught with something that finishes him.
