Guillard has amazing physical talent, but has always lacked the maturity and wherewithal to optimize it.

Thanks man. The parts I saw were towards the end, where he said cool, i'll take the fight and "i ain't upset". Usually when I see things like this, I figure it's hyping the fight, but I see why he would be mad.

Im not trying to bash Melivin but I dont see him winning this at all, Varners nickname is C-4 for a reason and Melvin's chin isnt very durable. Plus Id give the ground advantage to Varner IF Melvin can get it to the ground

On a final note regarding the ridiculous judging - turns out it was just like I was guessing in the UFC 155 thread. The same judge who scored the Garcia-Nam Phan fight in favour of Garcia missed the first half of the event and started judging with this particular fight. She was the one who gave all 3 rounds to Melvin and it was no mistake in names or adding. She scored it like that for real.

She is also the one who scored Belcher-Akiyama 30-27 for Akiyama.

The 30-27 score for Guillard was crazy. Did she also judge the Wineland/Pickett bout? That should have been a unanimous for Wineland IMO

This one isn't on her actually. Wineland-Pickett was judged by Tony Weeks (30-27 Wineland), Glenn Trowbridge (30-27 Wineland) and Mark Smith - he gave it to Pickett 29-28.

It's high time that boxing and MMA have separate judges. They should have some kind of test. You pass both tests, fine you can judge both, but you have to know better than to judge MMA like boxing

@amp112 agreed, i think they need a 15 point system to, or at least overhaul the 10 point system greatly. then again you cant fix stupid and i think some of the judges in L.A are stupid

This judging **** is seriously ridiculous. It's such a disaster, especially if you have two judges giving all three rounds to one guy, and the other judge scoring it three rounds to the other fighter. Ridiculous.

I don't think the problem is with the 10 pt system. It is with the way the judges utilize it.

1. We need more 10-10 and 10-8 rounds
2. We need judges who actually know what they're watching.

I love that Ricardo Almeida is judging events. I hope more ex-fighters follow suit.
