Going to sleep isn't a positive thing for an MMA fighter--unless your name's Johny Hendricks.
True, Saturday night's main event between GSP and Carlos Condit stole the thunder, but it was Hendricks' lightning strike that saved the day. Fans across the globe were moments away from dozing off and missing the main event when Big Rig's left hand blasted Martin Kampmann into a low-earth orbit. After the fight, Hendricks offered up this irresistible quote to the fans he helped keep awake:
"I just started hitting that combo a week ago. It came to me in a dream."
And per chance, a purple haze? Keep the dream alive Johny.
