Vince Lucero, who is 40 (41 in November) years old, is also riding a 9 fight losing streak with various T/KOs and submissions including a submission to punches. In fact his last win was a DQ in April 2008. The promoter must've been looking for somebody exactly like that. Then again some of those recent losses were to guys like Tim Hague, Tim Sylvia, Lavar Johnson, Eddie Sanchez, Devin Cole, Ron Sparks, Soa Palelei, Justin Eilers and Brad Imes (and before that to Roy Nelson), who may not be top 10 heavyweights in the world, but aren't exactly pushovers. Everything seems set for Bautista to steamroll him in a devastating fashion, but I wouldn't be surprised by an upset. I also wonder if the promoter promised Lucero a bonus to stand and trade instead of going to the ground...

@benjamin, thanks! I mostly just wanted to point out that there's more to fighters than records and you can look at those around .500 from both sides - either see the 20+ losses or 20+ wins. And most of Lucero's losses were to guys that I would also pick to beat Bautista any day.

@Condit, good find! That's even better as it sets him as 22-22-1. I see that Tapology is missing those last two fights, so that is also points worthy (hint, hint @benjamin).

I can only hand out points for wikis, just like everyone else.
