Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

Try running on grass maybe, less impact on the bones and the joints (although the latter is unrelated to your current ailment).

Anyone watching the Champions League final by any chance? Good Saturday for me, combining this with UFC tonight.

I haven't kept up with football in a while. I know my Azulgranas won La Liga after a shaky season. I know they got beat pretty badly in the CL semifinal by Bayern who won the CL.

Netflix from the UK is much better than Netflix from the US. Netflix from the UK has a ton of good sitcoms and movies that Netflix from the US doesn't have. I was skeptic about suspending my Netflix account after I watching the new season of Arrested Development, but I'm keeping it to watch stuff from the Netflix from the UK.

Last night I watched a Tim Vine stand up. It was so childish, quirky, goofy, witty and hilarious. Something totally different from the norm.

So the new Fast and Furious movie is epic beyond epic... and I'm sure that after seeing the after credits that, well, number 7 will be even better. Who would have thought back in the 90s that this could become the longest running movie series ever.

As far as series with the same cast, same plotline, same hypothetical world. Yeah it's getting up there considering the 8th is a done deal.

Obviously movie series like James Bond and many others don't fit that criteria.

If there's been a big budget movie series that have had at least 9 films with at least the same character in every movie, and  no spin-offs or reboots, I sure don't know about it.

Over done horror flicks come to mind... Jason for one.  How many of those damn movies did they make?  10?  Crazy.  I can't see the movie you're taking about yet @Messiah b/c I haven't yet seen the last two.. but I gotta be honest... I've only liked the 1st two so far.  My wife likes them, so I'll be watching them.

First, no one in the '90s would've guessed because the first film wasn't released until 2001

Second, they've only had six films (you aren't really gonna short films now are you?), and the seventh is forthcoming.

Third, Harry Potter (8 films spanning, 2001-2011), Marvel Cinematic Universe (7 films, a minimum of 5 more forthcoming by the end of 2015, 2008-present), Star Wars (7 films, new ones forthcoming, 1977-2008).

At least the same character in every movie and no spin offs? Really? Tokyo Drift is literally the opposite of both of those descriptions. It's a complete spin off and has no characters from the previous movies not including the ending scene obviously.

To be honest the series has really only started since Fast Five. The previous movies were atrocious but had cool cars which is a universal money maker to morons who think the alloys and cheap spoiler look awesome on their ************* car that has a ridiculously loud exhaust system to make it sound somewhat powerful.

Also, the first movie came out in 2001 so really to answer "Who would have thought back in the 90s that this could become the longest running movie series ever?"

No one due to it's overall lack of existence.. (Zarog got there before me it seems..)

Did I say there's been more than 6? No, I've said that the first 8 are confirmed with a 9th being likely. And il just assume Jaffa that you haven't seen the newest one because there's now no way to refer to Tokyo drift as a spinoff. Han has been in 3, 4, 5, and 6. And his death is the very crux of the plot of the seventh movie that will take place in you guessed it, Tokyo. I'm guessing the main character from Drift will be in the 7th as well.

Marvel universe is not even close to fitting the criteria I'm talking about.
