Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

If you fight on that card in Vegas @Mortis I will come and root for you. There are some good Ammy promotions here in Vegas Tuff'N'Uff being the biggest.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated! There are some decent promoters for both pro and ammy here in Kansas City, too. Titan puts on both pro and ammy, and I have a few connections with promoters and fighters in the KC area, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to find a couple of fights in the area. If I'm able to make it to the ammy tournament in Vegas.. then I may take one or two pro fights after and then call it a career. I'm not looking to compete in the UFC or anything, but I'm having that itch to compete again and trying to stay active. Plus, this will give me more motivation to get down to my goal weight of 159 lbs.

Also, when I do compete, I'm hoping I can put a Tapology patch on my shorts.

Finished 15th (out of 90) on a 250 chip buy-in hold em tournament. Bad news is that I didn't make my goal of the final table. Good news is that I come back to find my favorite website on the net back up and running.

So were the site updates anything that can be talked about, or do we make like this 10 hours never happened..?

@swickotine nothing exciting.

Usually when new features and updates that you guys care about hit the website, the site only goes down for like 90 seconds.   The new programming is sent up and the website does a quick reboot.

When something like last night happens, it's usually because of hardware/configuration changes. In this case, the Tapology server was upgraded to a bigger one.  I thought it would take about 4 hours. But it literally sat in this "waiting" state for like 7 hours before it began doing its thing.  Suckage.  On the positive side, Tapology now has a little more horsepower. But I don't expect using the site to feel any different.
