Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

Does anyone else watch Bar Rescue?  I have no idea why, but I love that show.

His batting avg against that ball wasn't that great, but he did have nice control and nice moves over them 'chucks.  I'd of cracked my head open about 10 times and nuetered myself a few times as well..lol.

Man Condit busted him up.  I'm still aggitated at the Condit/Hendricks fight.  I know, I know, Hendricks took him down 15 times... but he did nothing with them and Condit got back up everytime.  Condit won the fight, Hendricks won the wrestling match.  Flame away!

I agree with you, unfortunately takedowns are still counted for waaaay to much. Hopefully it changes eventually.

Not only did Hendricks do nothing but Condit ****** Hendricks up while he was on the bottom.

The only time Condit actually looked like he was fighting his fight was in the last round against Hendricks.

Hendricks definitely won the first, I gave him the second because the striking was fairly even and Hendricks took him down at will, I gave Condit the 3rd. I agree that takedowns are overscored but when your opponent is 15/15 (or whatever the obscene number was) on takedowns then he is controlling you.

Coming from a wrestler @Live!  I don't mind the takedowns so much... it's the lack of activity that irks the **** outta me.  I'd like to see strikes on the ground and how they compare.  Condit was also able to reverse and/or get up every single time.

I'm a hardcore Condit fan and I was OK with the decision, first went to Johny, the third to Condit and the second round was closer but I thought Hendricks won it...

I can't find the exact ground strike numbers, but here is an article that sums up my thoughts on the fight pretty nicely...

When I initially watched the fight, I'm pretty sure I was biased because I thought Condit won all three rounds.

I thought Condit won the first, Hendricks won the second and Condit won the third, but that's just me.

Personally I have no problem with Hendricks laying and preying because that is an effective way of winning a fight. Charlie Brenneman does it, Ben Askren does it and it works. the problem I have is that the guy on the bottom normally just takes it, Condit did not take it and was effectively landing strikes and scrambling out of the bottom.

We agree @Anik! I have no problem w/ it either but like you said, Condit not only effectively landed striked and scrambled out, he out-struck Hendricks from the bottom and got out every single time.
