Slow Day in MMA News, Lets Talk about US!

Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

Just take the YouTube embed code... come here and type something like "Watch my dumb drunk friend here"... highlight the text... click the vid button above... paste the YouTube embed code inside... that should work.

thanks but its a facebook video, so i tried to do the same thing with the embed code of the fb vid but fb vids don't work here apparently.

I'm moving to Mexico City in a couple of weeks and my awesome family is throwing me a farewell party this weekend.
I don't see my brother much cause he lives on a different city, so I can't wait to have a couple beers and talk some MMA & Tapology with him tonight over a BBQ.

good christ. hope it is all good in Mexico city. tell the people HD says hey and they will know what you mean. lol

So about 30 minutes ago, im driving home from a friends house, and i see this car on the side of the road. From a far i thought it was a cop, so i slowed down. Come to find out, its a Jeep Cherokee crashed in a ditch. So i turn around, get out, to see whats going on. If anybody was hurt, i couldnt see thru the window, so i open the door, and see this chick slumped over. I panic, and run across the street like "omfg i think she's dead. So i call 911, and tell them, cops get there, then shortly after, the paramedics arrive. They get my name, and number, and ****. At this point, im sweating, my heart is beating fast as hell, and im pacing back and forth. Only thing going thru my mind is that i hope she isnt dead. One of the paramedics looks in the car to see if she is dead, and she is, but she is banged up pretty good. I kinda give a sigh of relief but i still wanna know if she makes it or not. As i was driving home, i saw a helicopter flying low as hell, so im sure they just chartered her to a hospital. Just thought i would share this with you guys. I totally wasnt expecting to see this at 330 in the morning, and now i cant sleep for some reason, so i just had to tell somebody.

@traeblack, ,I applaud you. I really do. Not to take away from your story but last week a friend of mine and his girlfriend found a fire by them and tried to put it out and calling 911. I think these kinds of situations define you as a person. I think some people just wouldnt be able to do whats right. I know we dont know each other but im proud of you dude.

thanks man, it was almost traumatizing, i she would have been dead, i dont know how that would make me feel, i still feel weird right now

Lol, thanks guys. Yeah I got promoted, im now moving to The company's HQ in Mexico. 
@HD nah, MXC is no worse than LA, NY, Chicago, etc. 

Metallica is playing there on August so it'll be a nice welcome.

Hendo is still pretty amazing.

Though re-watching that fight, he really fell apart at the end. He gave up those positions pretty quickly, and a lot of guys seem to have way better RNC defense.  However, he also ate a lot of really hard punches. Some of those strikes on the ground may have rocked him badly... Anderson can create so much force.

Hendo didn't stick to game plan. He was supposed to pressure, get in close and get the takedown. In the 2nd he gave Anderson too much distance and got picked apart and was pretty hurt.

It's not that Henderson's fans think he's the greatest fighter of all time (which could possibly be debatable), it's just, win or lose, he's awesome to watch. True fans stick to the fighters they love, not because they win.

@oldnick just saw on Greg's wall what you chose for the theme next week, GREAT CHOICE!

Thanks dude. Symphony Of The Night is by far one of the greatest due to being the greatest sidescoller on playstation, but also having one of the greatest video game soundtracks ever. But enough talk... HAVE AT YOU!

@Gregory Henderson's one of the top 10 greatest fighters of all-time no doubt. But he's not the GOAT, because he got dominated BY the real GOAT.

@OldNick I think that the same result would've happened. Henderson was trying to pursue the takedown in the 2nd but you could tell Anderson's punches were really ******* him up. He even pulled guard at one point just to not deal with Anderson's striking, now that's amazing.

Was that fight possibly the end of Anderson Silva's true prime?
