Siyar Bahadurza is a 28 year old fighter who was born in Afganistan and moved to Netherlands when he was 15.

He was signed by the UFC a year ago and beat Paulo Thiago in his only UFC fight by KO only 42 seconds into the first round.  He seems to be mainly a striker.  He was scheduled to face Erik Silva but got injured.

Would this fight still be a hot item to the house?  Is he a coming star or is it all hype so far?

"Star" is a bit much at this point.  He did great against Paulo, but one punch doesn't make a star....but yeah, I'm interested to see how he does in the future.  He has a solid record.  It remains to be seen how he'll do.

Depending on how Erik Silva does against Fitch, would Siyar be an appropriate next opponent for Erik, or has Erik already moved on to tougher opponents?

Personally, I would be quite interested and curious as to who would prevail in a Silva vs. Bahadurzada battle.  Might be a very entertaining striking scrap.

That may well be, messiah, but since when was my personal opinion in sync with the house?

I would tend to agree with you, but I am curious as to how the house sees things.  Once in a blue moon, the house and I do not see eye to eye.

I would love to watch him fight another striker like Alves. I think he can make some noise at 170.

The thing that gif dosnt capture about the KO is how long he was down for.
He put Thiago down long enough for us to worry he might be dead while he was moving backwards- thats some amazing power.

If Silva beats fitch then silva has put himself in the top 10 and will get higher opponents.

If Fitch gets brutally finished by silva then they announce Siyar vs Fitch I may start to beleive Bills anti-Fitch conspiricy theories

Nothing but respect for this guy, Paulo Thiago is one of my favorites and he demolished him, sad to see. But, he deserves nothing but respect.

Alright, gentlemen.  We saw that Jon Fitch defeated Erick Silva in fashionable style.

Would everyone now agree that an Erick Silva vs. Syar Bahadurzada coming battle would be an appropriate scrap?

Remember, they were originally scheduled to fight each other but injuries put the hex on it.  Would it still make sense today?  I think it would.  A real striking extravaganza for the fans.  What would not be entertaining about that?

Two exciting, young rising stars, trying to sort out the pecking order.  Just 2 fighters working it out.

Yes Siyar vs Erick would be an extravagant scrap between 2 talented and scrappy fighters. Both have been thoroughly Donged before as well. They could both be big players at WW in the future and Silva with his Brazilian pop star looks could be the new MMA sex icon. I'm thinking life size cardboard cutouts, body pillows, and colognes.

Odd topic to necrobump. Siyar probably won't be a big star since his ground game hasn't looked good and he basically never fights. What the hell has he been doing for the past 20 months?
