I've watched pro wrestling since I was a kid and I still enjoy it.I know most mma fans are very anti pro wrestling but I enjoy the storylines and athletic abilities of the performers. I was just wondering what everyones feelings were about professional wrestling

Do I watch sitcoms and movies? Yes. Do any of these feature men in ******** costumes making believe that they are practicing some form of martial art of sport?
Karate Kid? Rocky? Spiderman? Soooo many things.

We're all just tired of being called dorks for liking wrestling. So we banned together and decided it was a real sport and we were going to assault you with comments until you agreed, lol.

The Japanese take wrestling to extremes it should never go to, but that's just their way. I've seen guys legitimately slicing into one another with knives in some of the Big Japan Deathmatches. If you remember New Jack from ECW he was recently in a match in some promotion where the only way to win was to stab your opponent, so he got real shank happy with a fork.

i remember the original Four horseman and the freebirds with michael hayes, enuff said.
been wrestling fan since i was a kid still watch it but not as good as the 90s my all time favs are ultimate warrior,stone cold and of todays era its cm punk or daniel bryan
Despite my personal feelings that pro wrestling is ridiculous, I also realize we must all allow others to enjoy whatever it is they like, so long as they don't interfere with the rights of anyone else.
I remember reading a little anecdote a long time ago. Two sports writers were arguing about the merits of basketball. One loved it and the other didn't. The one who didn't said, "If the final basketball playoffs were played in my front yard, I'd pull the curtains!" To each their own, I guess.
But pro wrestling? Seriously? I do wish some of them would seriously train for MMA. That might be exciting.

@Bill alot of pro wrestlers including CM Punk and Undertaker said they would definitely have tried out mma if it were around when they were starting out.

Yesterday I was looking through my dvds and forgot that I had the Road Warriors dvd. I completely forgot that Animal and John Lauirinaitis are brothers. They also showed a scaffold match in which Jim Cornette falls from a scaffold and blows both his knees out.

I really shouldn't be knocking what others enjoy, despite my personal opinions. Many of my female friends harbor dark suspicions with respect to my dark side because they know very well I'm hooked on watching MMA and murder cases on TV.
They have wondered out loud what kind of man sleeps like a baby after watching murder and grown men punching each other in the face. And I can't explain it to them. If you don't understand, there's no point in going into it.
And almost all my friends are into healthy eating while I am the lone unsaved, unrepentant renegade who still loves his coke, potato chips, fried chicken, pizza, chocolate and Hagen Das. I have to hide my snacks when they come over.
So, who am I to ***** at anyone?

Well to be fair, mma isnt just brutality. It is a sport. The one guy I would have loved to see in mma was Angle. I still think he is one of the best pro wrestlers today.
